Report a phone call from 02-9191-1620 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Annoyed| 1 replyHave been receiving alot of phone calls from this number, hangs up whenever I answer. When I rang this number back i got a message about Citibank credit cards please call Citibank on 132484. When I ring Citibank they have no record of anyone making this call to me. They say this is not a Citibank phone number. They do not know who it is or how to stop the annoying phone calls. I have had Citibank remove all of my contact phone numbers from my file and still the calls keep coming!
- Caller: Citibank... Or not?
- Call type: Prank
- ANNOYEDJust after I wrote the last comment I had another call from 0291911620 which I hung up on, 15 minutes later I receive a call from 0392245352, I answer and get hung up on yet again! Seems very coincidental. I wonder if these numbers are linked in anyway.

- Hallo Kitty Bondi Jnctn replies to AnnoyedMeow all.. Ok, so I've just gotten my 7th call from this 02 9191 number in 4 days and it was 6.41pm"Citybank has C/Card offers and may call you again in relation to these and or others. Should you wish to enquire about these or other's, call CityBank on 132484"! ?? Scam? Even if you get to pick up though, there is just this message, lights on but no-one home u know! lol. Stay cool gals, kitty will get to the bottom and post her results.

- SkweekahGot a call too. Hung up once answered. I am a citibank customer. Unbelievable. Some customer service. Im going to ask why they use such a practice.
- Caller: Citibank
- concernedHi I got a call from this number and they claimed to be Citibank trying to sell me a new product.
To get a quote they need to get some "information" such as date of birth.
I said I was not interested and when I got home I called Citibank to see if the product "Life and Live"
actually existed.
Citibank told me there was no such product.
Be warned don't give personal details to someone who calls you.- Caller: Scammer

- debzI have been getting calls from this number for a few days, twice a day. I never answer it coz I generally screen calls anyway but thanks all of you for posting on here. I definately won't answer it now. By the way, I am also a Citibank customer, I think they have been hacked into.
- DaveHarrasment and intimidation from a financial institution, under the NCCP National Consumer Credit Protection guidelines, and complain to citi bank, if theyt dont listen go to the FOS, Financial Ombudsman Service and complain, and you may recieve compensation, just spend a couple of minutes compiling evidence and email, and you shall be rewarded

- Caller: 029191620
- PaddyI have received 14 calls from this number over the last 6 business days - just wondering when they are going to give up! Normally I screen my calls (if they don't leave a message, I don't call back or answer next time), come here and find out they are a product-flogger, and then continue to ignore them and wait until they give up. Normally it only takes 2 or 3 calls though! Starting to get annoyed. Also, I am a new Citibank customer too.
- TonkaI too have been receiving calls from this number, googled it and came here. Glad I did. Thank you everyone. I thought I might contact Citibank, inform them of this incidence and also direct them to here so that they can see a large number of their customers are being bothered by this and maybe they should investigate it further to prevent their customers from being harmed/conned.
- Caller: Telstra??
- sriI too have been receiving calls from this number, googled it and came here
- Caller: citibank
- Excel_Nerd| 2 repliesI have been noticing a lot of missed calls from 02 9191 1620 too (too busy to answer phone) - about 2 per day.
When I finally answered one I got (at first what seemed like ) a relatively genuine attempt to sell me life insurance (called something like Life and Live and apparently issued by Metlife in the states but branded under citibank). They promised to email me information during the call which never came through, and their phone call dropped out on me 3 times during that call so they had to ring me back.
Finally they said I would need to confirm my credit card number to protect my security (I was like wtf you are the credit card company). Then they said I could just tell them some digits and they could tell me if it was right or wrong. Apparently they could see a partial card number but did not have my expiry date etc. They seemed a little sly, revealing some info to me but saying I now had to prove my identity. When I pointed out this was ridiculous they said they could look the number up, I was put on hold, then suddenly I am (apparently) speaking to the floor manager of a call centre in Chippendale Sydney named "peakbound" (www.peakbound.com.au).
The manager seemed like a genuinely decent guy and apologised for the phone problems (call drop outs) they have been having - however I am a bit bemused that anyone would claim to be from my card company (no doubt there was some thin reference in there to be "calling on behalf of" or some other tosh). The way the whole thing has been conducted makes it seem suspicious. I don't understand how they expect you to select a life insurance product based on a phone call and without being shown any documentation.
I feel sorry for the people who work there.
PS: Thanks to others who have posted here on this topic.- Caller: peakbound
