got a call from this number about 5:30 this afternoon i didn't know who it was so i didn't answer it

ive just had a call from this number - luckily because i didnt recognise the number i didnt pick it up, but after looking on here thank god i didnt!!!

I wont be answering if this number rings again!

phoned me earlier but i missed the call, phoned back at got an answer machine

Rude welsh girl who questioned why i didnt want an new phone

Ive been getting a few calls from this number. Every time the line just goes dead. Wont answer it again now!

I ignored it the first time but as this is also my work phone, I had to answer it the second time and it was a dead line.

I had this Number call me yesterday but I didnt answer it because I was at work  but it rang again and I answered it. He did tell me what the company was called but I cant recall what it was called (which doesnt help) It was a Welsh male with a deep voice and he said to me that he could get me a better deal on my PAYG phone. I said i was not interested, He then asked if i was over 18? I said "yes but I am NOT answering anymore questions" and he said "thats fine but can I ask you one more question" and before I had chance to say anything he asked how much I spend on yop ups a month. I said £10 and then hung up.

Sorry for the above message, I meant top ups not yop ups LOL!

 I said i was not interested, he said "thats fine but do you want more texts" i replied "i am not interested" , he then said about getting more minutes  i replied "i am not interested"  he then said "can I ask you one more question" to which i replied "which part of I am not interested dont you understand?"  he then hung up.

this number is rinign me every day for a couple of days

I got called by this number this evening. I never pick up for a number I don't know. Even if I knew it were a local call, if it doesn't have an ID, I don't bother.

this came to my mobile from a welsh girl who said she was from an independant communications company and could save me mony she also new I was on pay and go told her to clear off

had 3 missed calls from this number tried to call back from works landline and it went to an automated service so i hang up---southampton

Yeah its Comms Direct, they want to sell mobile contract packages that sound ludicrously good value to be real. Not sure how they got my number as I never sign up to anything on this particular mobile.

Not sure that it's true that you can be reverse charged on an incoming call without knowing about it though - sounds unlikely. If this has happened to you I would probably consider taking the company to a small claims court over the sum and the value of your wasted time.

When you pick up a call and there's noone on the other end for a few seconds - this is a "ghost call" and is caused by too few available call op's on the other end when an automated dialer reaches you and tries to pass your call to someone, so you have to wait for them to become available. This is a clear sign that you're about to get a sales call or a customer service call. I work in call centre sO i can appreciate what a total JOY it is for people.
