Had this number call me at 9.53 this morning but as I'm on my hols I was still in bed!  Well dodgy hy the sounds of it.

i received that call asking about mobile topup and else i can not hear properly as i was traveling

These people are driving me insane. I have received a response from T-Mobile...they have obviously just sold our information and numbers on to third parties.

I'm afraid it's impossible for us to block any number from calling you. You've done the right thing by registering with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). By law, all telemarketing companies must check the TPS database and must not call anyone listed.

If you're still receiving calls from Communication Direct, you should contact The Information Commissioner, they can advise you how to make an official complaint. They can be contacted using the details below:"

My response back:-

"I can assure you, if I was given the opportunity and asked whether I minded if you pass my information on to third parties I would have categorically said, no you can't.  I wasn't given opportunity seeing as when signing up for pay as you go and secondly, signing up for a contract a few weeks ago, the salesman in the shop filled in the form on the computer and then I was asked to sign, as simple as that. I am always very careful to ensure that my information is not passed on to third parties and always tick/untick boxes where necessary.

I am extremely disappointed in T-Mobile for passing my private information and number on without my permission and if these calls persist, I will not hesitate to move my contract elsewhere and have my number changed.

I would ask you now to ensure that you do not pass my mobile number onto anyone else and change your computer systems with immediate effect."

Absolute gits.  Hopefully the TPS will work, if it doesn't I'm changing my network and phone number to someone that doesn't sell you information on to people that will harrass you.

I've had about 5 of these damn calls, i answered one of them and there was no-one on the other end so i hung up after a couple of seconds. Do you have to call your operator to make them stop because they are becoming so frustrating.

I just get these calls twice a day now, and its pissing me off, how can i stop them?

ive bin called twice today byt his number and ive spoken to a few people and theyve said not to answer it as they can use your credit but i dont no how to stop them calling

Had several calls from this number, eventually answered it and the woman was trying to sell me a better deal on my PAYG. When i told her i wasn't intersted she wasn't having any of it and was VERY persistant that i join this new scheme. I finshed the call by saying "do i HAVE to sign up?", she said "no" so i said "i won't then" and she hung up!!

I've just had a call from this number was on two minds whether to answer it or not.
Finally decided to answer and was met with silence so put it down and a few seconds.
I've just checked my phone balance and nothing seems untoward....yet

I'm on PAYG, no contract and therefore had no opportunity to allow my details to be passed on.
If i'm right then current legislation is for opt-in therefore ANY phone company (mine is Vodafone) that passes our numbers on is BREAKING THE LAW.
Perhaps someone can confirm that??

Anyway I've black listed the number and complained to oftel.

I'm on a Vodafone PAYG and have had my number for about 8-years.  I only have 58p of credit.  Googled that number and found my way here.

2 missed calls in 3days its communications direct a phone company working on behalf of 3 network. this is  brand new number only just registered and pay as you go 2???? DONT ANSWER TO THIS CALL!!!!!!

Yeah, I got a few missed calls from these people. Now I know it's a scam, that number's going straight on my block list.

Yeah,I just got the same call.. Its annoying, There trying to flog the mobile lines tho. I dont know how they got our numbers

Called but im in the office so didnt answer. Just searched the number and this came up. Nice :)

Got a few calls from this number now - never answer it though (esp. if i dont recognise the number).
