Had this call me twice now - also had the phone on silent - immediately suspicious as I didn't recognise the code, let alone the number.

I had a call at 1430hrs yesterday and today at 1145hrs. I didn't answer either. Unfortunately, today is the first day I've forgotten to put my phone on silent so it interrupted my lesson! Thanks a lot! - if they ring again they'll be getting a piece of my mind.

These people kept trying to contact my 14 yr old son several times trying to get information regarding his phone and how much he spends per month. When he got home he told me and I rang them to ensure they deleted his number so that he was not contacted again. Obviously these people are a rogue operation and something should be done to stop them trying to contact any number they see fit. Most youngsters have a pay as you go mobile and can be easily led into aggreeing to something that is beyond their control or experience.I will personally be taking this further.

got a call fom this nbe about an hour ago...traced it and is fom somewhere in cardiff.

Didnt pick up coz didnt know the number.

My phone was on silent when this number called, looked up the number and saw all these comments - glad I didn't answer!!

They called my number about 7 times the first day at about half 10 just before im meant to go for my break so i was sitting in the middle of a lesson, that was my first clue not to trust it, i realised the day after when they called again at the same time, after that i knew it was noone important and if it was that important they would have rung at an appropriate time for a 16 yr old!
they are dispicable, just ignore it, i dont ever answer phone calls i dont recognise, i didnt know it was actually a scam until i searched the number and was surprised to see the results. its funny though because if i had picked up i could have wasted their time all i wanted because i didnt have any credit!!
sometimes people are just plain thick, ignore them and they soon give up!!
and never pick up a number you dont know unless you have a sure idea of who it is!!

Continuously ring me and never speak, been going on for months and am very fed up, have rung ofcam but there's nothing they can do. Suggested i got in touch with my MP.

After receiving 3 calls in the last 2 days, (this is not the first time I've been called by these prats) I decided to do a bit of investigation work and found their website and e-mail address. If you come across this annoying company (who call themselves Comms Direct amongst many other names), why not drop them an abusive e-mail to the following address: info@cdleurope.com . I have already ensured that they are added to a number of spam lists. Hopefully with your help, we can finish them off! ^^

I've had several missed calls from these guys.  Haven't rang back.

yeah i got this just now he as asking about my pay as you go number i asked him where he got my number he said that they lists of the first five digits and have some software that automatically generates the rest of the number, and siad they dont know my personal details so i asked them to take my details off their list and i put the phone down.

they didn't take any money out of my pay as you go account its still the same balance, luckily this is a phone i only use for select few incoming calls from family only so no one knows about it.

i wish i let them wait so i could waste a bit of their time and money, stupid idiots.

i try to employ if i haven't requested info or contact from someone then i dont sign up for anything.

This number came up on my Mum's phone this morning, was an automatic message. One of those you put the phone down to, but it won't cut off.

Had a missed call from this number

Got a call from this number today (9/5/08) at 11 am but didn't answer & no message was left. I thought it might be a scam because I didn't recognise the area code. Are they calling all networks? I'm on Vodafone pay as you go. If they call again I'll try to waste their time & start spamming info@cdleurope.com.

Got a call while I was out of the room a few minutes ago, no message left, found this page through googling it, seems its as well I missed the call judging by the comments here.

I never give out my mobile number to anyone other than family and close friends, so the caller must either be dialling numbers at random, or have acquired my number from Orange themselves.  Not impressed if the latter is the case.

Basically from what I can gather, this number is used by a company, who appear to be Comms Direct, http://www.commsdirect.net (although they MAY be just hijacking a good firms reputation, I don't know as I don't know the company).

Anyway, they phone people on ALL networks who appear to be Pay as you Go customers in a bid to offer you a better deal.

Using your phones prefix 07633 for example, they can usually accurately guess what network you are on so can appear to be part of the company without actally saying they are, note that they will not know who you are and will not call you by name, (unless they have rung you previously).

Anyone who gets fooled into this will eventually be passing over their bank details to get signed up to a new 12 month contract with some random comms company you've never heard of, you may end up with a better deal, but I HIGHLY doubt it!

A company, with terrible practices and a VERY poor phone manner - Not good for a communications company!
