They phoned me 50 mins ago.  I missed the call, and phoned them back (using a landline).  They answered and said they were Communications Direct.  The asked me if i was on Pay As You Go.  I said no, I'm on a contract.  Then they asked when it expires.  I was stupid enough to say (although it is a year away!).  Then they just said ok, goodbye thaks for calling without saying anything else!  Seemed very suspicious and clinical.

heres one for you, they called while i was reading this and the one from timesonline. now what are the odds on that. i answered (i have no  credit anyway so not gonna hurt me) and very politely told them i was reading up on them at that moment, i dont want a new network, new tarriff and not to phone back again lol. probably wont work but next time i will threaten them with legal action see if that works.....

Got a call from them yesterday - asked me if I was on pay as you go, I said no, they seemed surprised and asked how long I had been on paymonthly, I said 4 years, they wanted to know if I had changed my number, I said yes about 6 times. I think they are just cold calls nothing to worry about

Just received a call from this number but didn't answer it as I didn't recognise number.

I recieved a call off this number, but didn't answer, as i don't usually answer numbers I don't know. They didn't leave a message or anything. After reading the messages below, i won't be answering if they do ever ring again! I don't know how they got my number?!

I had another call from them today and missed. I had a chat to some friends and apparently these companies use the same technique to call mobiles as they do to phone landlines. They have the first 5 digits of a mobie number like 07234 and then randomly select other numbers to complete the phone number. The ones that work are kept on file to use again and again, so probs wont be specific to one network. May not be right but it would explain how so may people are getting contacted, personally I don't give my mobile number out to anyone other than friends so it makes sense how they got my number.

I got the call yesterday.  Luckily i was working so couldn't answer it. Would love to get my hands on the caller though !

I've had a call from these people seven times! They keep calling when I'm asleep at about 10am, so I knew it wouldn't be anyone I know since they all know not to call me early. I live in Cardiff and 02920 is a Cardiff number, so I thought it might be important, but now I'm glad that I haven't answered.
I'm also on Orange.

I have just had this call from this number but missed it,, input the number into google and this has come up ,, what make me think it is more if a scam i have only had this number for 2 weeks and only my close friends and family have it ...

I have had a couple of miss calls from this number and im not sure what they are all about. I get quite worried that people can just obtain my phone number from anywhere.!!

I have received two calls from this number within the last few days. Luckily I was at work so did not answer the call!

I just got this call now at 4.35 i didnt answer it cos it looked dodgy glad i didnt now!!

I have just had a call from this number.  They said they were some sort of communications company and were checking if I was pay-as-you-go.  I didn't say if I was or not but asked if they were my service provider...to which they replied "no, were not from orange we're..." But I'm not on orange! So hung-up swiftly.

I checked my balance aferward due to above comments and i hadn't been charged for the call.

i had 9 missed calls from this number so i thought id check it out and i have found out that there is no bussiness in cardiff with this number so it must be a residential number being used for hustling purposes so whatever u do dnt answer it as they have reversed charges as mentioned in some of your other comments

Go the call, called back to be asked about my current mobile deal.  sounded dodge as there was ambient pub noise in the background.  At least not normal office sounds so hung up, googled the number and ended up here.
