Just got a call from this number and after searching found its from a fundraiser. Don't know which one as I didn't answer but really wish these so-called charities don't keep calling people for money. Its about time to implement an opt-in register for these organisations. Currently they just keep haunting people who would otherwise have donated to the point they just don't want to have anything to do with them. Their persistent ringing simply defeats the attainment of their goal in the first place!

I must admit I'm please to see that the first  response is from the call centre itself offering info on how to opt out - I respect that. Chris is right - it's just too much now - up to 10 calls a day from various charities.  I used to donate/buy tickets for quite a few, but now I don't because of the bombardment.  I respect the need to raise money, but can't help but wonder how much gets chewed up in paying call centre employees. Vicious circle I guess...

I received a call from a woman with foreign accent, claiming to be ringing from Westmead Hospital.  She managed to get our names wrong and when I told her there was no one at this number of that name I asked what she was ringing about.  Her response was to say she had the wrong number and hung up!
