This number has called an average of twice a day during business hours since the beginning of February 2009. If answered there is no response, nor a fax tone.

Calling back always gets an engaged tone, no matter what time I have tried.

I just received a call from that same number. They left a message saying "[***] [***]".    Very strange

Just got a missed call from that number - didn't know it so googled it and found this page

This number has been calling me every day for the past 5 days and I've accidently missed it every time. Finally I answered and it was some dude from the Guide Dogs asking if I wanted to buy tea towels and gift baskets...
Don't know whether it's scam or not. I declined the tea towels and asked not to be contacted again.
I'd rather donate through their website, where I know it's legit.

I just noticed a list of missed calls from this number recently, so I googled the number...  Very strange!

We've been getting several "BLank" messages on our answering machine. The phone rang again this morning so I did *10# and it indicated there was a missed call from (02)9468 5000 . I decided to google it in case it was an agency I work for but found this site instead!!! Very weird. Some people obviously have nothing better to do.

Same as some others, I missed two calls today around 10am and 5:15pm, both times I did *10# and the number was (02) 9468 5000.

I tried to ring it twice (in case first time was a line error) and was instantly disconnected without a ringing at all, which let me to google to search for it, which brought me here. And none the wiser at the moment...except it appears dodgy.

My sister actually answered the phone this morning . They asked to speak to someone over 18 and mentioned that they were from some Guide Dog association.
Yesterday when I checked the answering machine there were several messages left being only a dial tone.

Same as above, disconnected as soon as it was answered. I googled the number (I have caller ID) and ended up here, very strange. I would have thought if it was a legit guide dogs number they would have better protocols.

This number calls several times a day including weekends and evenings, but never leaves a message. On Saturday night however they did leave a message, in an effeminate voice, commenting on my answering machine message, calling me 'darling', and threatening to call back again, which they've done but I still haven't answered it.

Doesn't sound like legitimate practises to me, Guide Dogs or otherwise.

this is weird . I got a call three times in past two days. I never answer. I don't know why but I got a feeling I should google the number. I ended up here. very weird.

Had a call earlier this afternoon where they hung up as soon as I answered.
So I called *10#, and it said there was a missed call from 94685000 at 10am this morning.
Now I've just received a call ten minutes ago (4pm), and it was the Guide Dog Association.

Perhaps some of their employees are playing up?
Or maybe their automated dialling system is dodgy?

Had this number as well hanging up whenever we answer the phone it belongs to the guide dogs - Feel free to ring them on (02)94129300 ask for their telemarketing division and let them know how you feel. Would love to have a few of their personal numbers which i could ring and just hang up!!!

this has been going on now for several weeks, l have put in a complaint to telstra they say it's a federal offence and a following it up because of so many complaints about the same number.
