This number is a scammer looking for your bank details and other account info. He tells you he is from your broadband provider's tech team, but he cannot tell you who your provider is. He just got really cheeky when we questioned him. I called my provider and he told me to report it as it's a scammer. I have now reported it to Action Fraud website. We gave no details over, please do not be fooled.

I missed a call from this number today. But earlier today, I had a legitimate call from my credit card company - someone had tried to put a bogus transaction for over £1,000 through. They stopped it and cancelled the card. No idea if this is linked, but worth checking your other accounts to make sure they're ok.

Just had a call from this number, I have caller ID and knew I didn't recognise it so I clicked on the answering machine but of course no message was left which just confirmed what I already knew, that it was a dodgy call. If you are with TalkTalk you can dial 14258, wait for the prompt and then add ** (2 stars) and it blocks the last call but don't know if it works on every dodgy number there is.
Also the call blocker called True Call (you must have caller ID for it to work) are always highly recommended but are expensive at around anything from £80-£100, I have one but haven't installed it yet !!

Thank god for my call blocker. As soon as I realised it was a scam, I told him to make love in a far off place. He made the threat that he would ring me whenever he wanted. Don't think so, pushed the block now button, and hey presto, no more idiot.....

Called today by total muppet scammer re pc viruses.  Hung up on me when I repeatedly asked for company he was calling from.  Do not fall for this scam, no internet provider will make such calls.

Because the authorities require these criminals to justify their own existance.
The police spend more effort covering up crimes by the authorities than helping us people.
