Call from above number

I called back this number and a recorded message said Accor's Advantage Plus. I suppose they were calling me to suck me in to their club or time share scheme. It's a shame I missed their call.

I answered a call from this number and they asked specifically for people within our organization.
They also rang numerous others whose numbers are not publicly available.
On callback their messagebank revealed them to be Accor Advantage Plus like everyone else.

They called and tried to get me to list the names of all the staff memebrs in my work place..very rude and annoyingly persistent

If you google Accor Advantage Plus. It will reveal that they are Accor Hotels.

This person got ripped off by Accor Hotels when he bought Accor Advantage Plus.

ahh accor advantage plus isnt bogus. ive have been a member for many years and have received substantial discounts with no problems whatsoever. check your facts before you start claiming things are a scam.

I am also a happy member. Excellent discounts on dining, car hire and theme parks have saved me hundreds $$ this year.

I got the same as above. Called the number back and got the Accor message. Guy confirmed my name and then hung up. obviously when they call back to sell me something they'll get a very terse response. I have been a member many years ago but with these practices I wouldn't deal with them again. it's a dishonest way of doing business and may infringe on the spam act.

We have been members of Accor -Advantage plus for approx 5 yrs and have found their deals on accommodation and meals to be excellent.  We regularly travel domestically (with Aust) and internationally and now only stay with Accor - novotel, sofitel, Mercure and Grand Mercure..

This isnt spam, and we would recommend that you check it out....dont knock what you dont know.

I told the guy who rang (said his name was John) I get this type of call regularly and to stop calling me. He rang back moments later (said he was Tom). I told him I would report him to the police and I hung up. He rang straight back (when he heard my name) and hung up. He rang back again. I said I was someone else. I let him have it. He said for me to listen to him. I said I was not interested.

He made 4 calls in less than a few minutes. I run a small business and cannot afford to have me, my staff or my phones tied up with time wasters. No means no. How am I supposed to tell this guy to leave us alone.

I have just had a call from "John" as well, trying to get me to list the names of all the staff that work in my company. He said it was in case they wanted to send out any information or invitations. He was very persistant and after explaining to him 8 times that I would not being giving out staff members names, I said that if he wanted to send something he could address it to me (since he already had my name when I answered the phone). He still persisted in trying to get staff member's names so in the end I just said "thank you for your call, but I'm not interested" and hung up!

These people are rude. They intrude on your privacy by calling you and then expect you to hand out all your personal details and when you don't they have the ordasity to tell you how rude and unhelpful you are
