It is a scam!!
I just received a call from this number..
he said that he is from citibank & asked my birthday...
later i asked what is the purpose, he said for status update..
I reply no need...he hang up immediately...

I received same call as well. From a lady saying that she is from citibank. Also ask for my information, said is for verification purpose. But the point is that how am I 100% sure that she is from citibank? So I did not provide the said info as requested. When I asked her what is it regarding, she claimed that she can't reveal until I has done the verification process. Then I told her to send me letter for whatever matters, then I will respond accordingly. She got mad and hang up immediately...

from citibank. ask her why called me but she ask for birth date to do verification before she can tell me what she wanted. i answered her not that i call u to ask for info but u r the one who called me, it doenst matter if u dont want to tell me. then she told me it is regarding reminder for cc due date, i said i use SI no need every month call pls make notes. but they keep calling every month. now i dont pick up to phone anymore but they can call u 8-10 times per day.

Same. A lady claimed that she was from Citibank. She asked for my information for verification purpose, then only could tell what happen to my credit card. I told her that i won't answer it because i was not sure she was from Citibank. She just said never mind and hang up the phone. I think it is scam, i am going to complaint to citibank

It is  not a scam. Its from collection. Probably you owe Citibank money, thats why they contacted you

Its from the Citibank to confirm they have received the payment for housing (deducting)

its a scam..i never had any cc from citibank..never open an acc at citibank why would they call me to verified something i never had..never doin any business with citibank

It's not scam. it's confirmed citibank... u must be owing them money. my card due and SI transaction failed. then this number call few times... they ask you to verify personal details, which i dont agree.. u can call back citibank if you want to.. but since u owed them money, i dont think you'd call

I just had a call from it today saying she is from RHB
she: whats your birth date.
me: what is it for?
she: its regarding your outstanding balance due.
me: pause for a moment.... (banks NEVER ask personal data if they call) i'm not giving you any information of myself.
she: good luck in your transaction and hangs up the call....

WTF??? seriously??? for sure its a SCAM!

just recheck with citibank..that their no. division credit card.
if u want to reconfirm..call citibank directly and ask them.
