This group of people pretending to be calling from Maybank and said that the Bank Negara has come out with new guidline for credit card users.

They require we, credit card holder, to submit our income statement in order to verify our income and meet the guideline.

WHAT [***] IS THAT?!

i also received tis call many time,she ask me fax my salary slip or EA form to them.
i also verified to maybank,they ask me don't gv them any information.
im very hate them.
non-stop to call me......hate hate hate.......

They've been calling my HP but i refuse to pick up. They end up calling my office phone. See....they'll try all ways to get you in order to get your pay slip. I said i will fax them but in fact i didn't. I didn't even call Maybank to verify cuz luckily i found this in net.

a lady name nora gave me a call from this number and told me they are updating my income details for Maybankard centre. she want me to provide them (fax) my pay slips. I refused and I told her that  I just updated the bank on my income when i request to increase my credit limit and when upgrading my card recently. She also told me that i just made application for a new visa petronas on 14.2.11 which i never applied.

thanks for this website, i also just receive a call from akma from this 0327720300, tell me i only can have 2 credit card, which total credit limit is 2x my monthly salary. Then want me to fax my latest 2months pay slip to 0327720501. luckily got this website so i know i can ignore them. her back ground got car reverse silence, do not sound in profer office call desk too. i feel suspicious....

hi, i just call maybank at 1300 88 6688, they said 603 27720501 is their fax number. i can fax my paid slip to them. it is under bank negara credit limit new revise rules. they need to revise my credit limit.

A young lady called me using this no: 03-27720300 and told me that she is from Maybank. She said now Bank Negara has a new rule that each person can hold only 2 credits cards, and the credit limit is not more than 2x of his/her salary. She wants an update of my current salary. Feeling suspicious, I asked them how I can be sure she is really form Maybank, as Maybank never call me regarding this kind of matter. She counter-challenged me by saying that she also have to confirm that I am indeed the person that she is talkig to. I asked her how will she confirm that I am indeed the person she wants to talk to (because she didn't ask me when i answered her call). She said: I want to know your mother's maiden name... Whoa!!! Smells so Fishy!!! Then she said I can call Bank Negara or Maybank to ask regarding this number. I said OK and hung up.

This people only perform their task only.....people always when sumthing happen happen they feel unsatisfied they will said "no one ever inform. Bank nver call. and in hte end they said useless. When people called or informed, they asked why must, are u really from bank, etc in the end they said THESE PEOPLE are LIAR!!!

Yep its truly from bank negara credit limit new revise rules. Person who earned $36k per annum or less only can hold Credit card from two banks only which their credit limits should be 2 times of their current salary....... I think maybank just only bank who started to call regarding this issu.......well it always not easy for any who take the 1st initiative.......there always been hardship.....just gudluck hehehehe

huh..tx a lot to maybank..i do verify this with maybank..its legal..MAYBANK!u always be my fav banking maa...i love my credit limit a lots!!!!so i fax to them :)) its time for me to enjoy with my super WOW credit limit!!by next year,other year..and till the end!! enjoy!!!for those who stuborn,boo~i guess what other bank will do huh??just cut your credit limit,,and in future you will be smell ur own fishy!hahahahas...

I got this no too, she give me the fax no as well 0327720501. Her name call Intan. So i wander what our POLICE can do with it? Or Our BANK NEGARA will deal with it. They are still outside doing the same thing to others...

I got the same call on 27th Friday. Went to their branch. The officers told me not to disclose any information just for safety. Especially when my company bank in my salary to Maybank. Proof of earnings should not be necessary.

I got same call yesterday from akma. she explain exactly as above discussion. but i told her i dont have fax machine. so she request to send my payslip through email. but the email he gave seems valid (@maybank.com.my) . so i dunno to believe or not. maybe later i will go to maybank branch to verify this

I got the call from same number just now. Telling that to confirm credit cards and telling about the new credit limits rules. Her name is Ida and she's telling me to confirm with maybank customer service. She said i don't have to fax any pay slip because my salary goes into a Maybank account. I called Maybank cust service here 1-300-88 6688.

The Cust. Svc telling me DO NOT EVER telling 3 thing about your credit card : Expired Date, Credit Card No, The 4 Digit security code EVEN IF THE CALL WAS FROM MAYBANK.

In this case, after checking for a while, the CUST. SERVICE CONFIRMED that the call is LEGIT. But she again remind me of not telling those 3 things to anyone including the call from a valid MAYBANK personnel.

Rcev cal from the no this morning . In summary yes she call regarding the new BNM guidelines and from her record it shows that my income fall under that category . B4 i agreed to fax my slip, i did verify her about my acc which i dont think the frauster will know to that detail . Yes she can answer with confident about my banking info/transaction .

Since i also have fren in Maybank Customer Service, i did chk wt her and she confirmed they have the team who will cal cm with income RM36K and below . The salary info in their system maybe outdated so they are asking those cm to fax the latest income evident .

The number is true,  the new Bank Negara guideline is true.  Other credit Card issuer also starting to request latest income document from cardmembers.
