Claims to be from standard charted bank, asked about my affiliations with the bank and if I had credit cards from other banks. Rather suspicious, or maybe I'm just paranoid.

Yes they are from Standard Chartered, I've gotten a loan from them a couple of times. I actually like them because they're courteous and don't chase you for payments like mad sharks the next day the bill arrives.

But they do have a tendency of calling you repeatedly although you had just taken a loan from them a few months ago. Just politely refuse and they won't bother you so often.

I have 3 missed calls @ 21 Feb 2013 @11am, that time my phone was off line.  When I called back at 3pm of the same day, no person answer my call.   May be what you people said are true.  I just do a Balance Transfer from other bank's credit card to standard chartered one two weeks ago.

Suspected bank given/sell our information to third party. After I signed up Credit Card with S bank and I started received many calls to offer all kind of stuff saying they are partner with this bank.

I agree. Bank credit card application agents sells our information RM0.50/ individual particulars. Don't trust the person you apply your credit card from.

I got call from this number. I'm truly paranoid with unrecognized number due to im already busy with my own stuffs. I had only made house loan from Standard Chartered. Thanks for u olls info.
