'Julie Smith' called and left a message saying she was from the ATO and to ring back urgently.
Rang back and got 'Michael Johnson' who asked me my name and asked for my solicitor's details and was I aware of the legal action against me. I asked if this was a scam and he got very aggressive. Said I could expect the police on my doorstep and hung up. A search came up with an article on smh with same 'Mike Johnson' so I rang the ATO to report it.

Had a missed call from someone claiming to be from ATO. called them back and was bullied on the phone for over an hour wanting me to transfer money to a Western Union account. Said I had been stealing tax an up on 3 charges. Wouldnt let me off the phone until I had gone to the bank and withdrawn the cash and go to the post office and deposit it. Said his name was CHRIS and employee number is 1864799. Very aggressive. Report to the ATO immediately

They're still at it. I've ignored the message and reported the number to both the ATO and ACMA - who seem powerless to block OS numbers and do nothing in regard to telcos who allow this to continue.
