keep getting calls from ths number. on the occasions i have answered it is silent and then rings, followed by someone asking for me by name. I asked who it was but connection was so bad it sounded like a big squawk. i did hear the word electricity though. they are very persistant!

I keep getting missed calls from this number, i miss answering it. Each time i try to call it back i get a busy tone.

Yes happened to me yesterday.

I have the number call me three times and kept missing it. Same thing, called back and non stop busy.

I finally saved the number to my phone as "Do Not Answer". Then it called again, so being male, I answered the "Do Not Call" number and it is BIGPOND!!!

I mentioned to them all the issues and they are looking into it.

Just received a call from the number. Said they were 'Directory Assist'

Received call from this number 03 8416 1400 today, but missed call. Tried repeatedly to call back, but constantly engaged. Do not know who it is, but believe it is not someone I have given the number to, but rather some entity which has access to it. Missed earlier call, but no called ID on that one.

Called today at around 12 noon - tried calling back - rings for a second then is engaged.

Yeah. I have been getting a call last 2 weeks. They never leave a message and when I call back I get the engaged signal. So I SMS'd the phone number because I am pretty sure we can SMS land lines in AU. They should get a phone message waiting for them when their phone frees up. I basically told them to stop calling if they dont want to leave a message.

I too got the call from the number 0384161400 and they hung up just after answering now the signal indicates they are busy.

they said they were directory assist and asked me to verify my details which i stupidly did thinking they were from telstra, but now i'm not so sure????

i just got the same call as above. answered, but no one there, then tried to call back and its busy. i think its a scam - be careful.

i got the the call today, i answered but didnt hear anything and they just hang up, i call back but the line was busy or i called from my mobile it said "call Rejected

This number called me saying they were Synergy and if I wanted to know my account information, I needed to give them my Date of Birth - very dodgy. Called the number back and it just hangs up. Contacted Synergy and they do not call and ask for personal details.

I received this calling number this morning. I missed the call so called it back and it answers and hangs up immediately at exactly 18 seconds.

i just now got this - accidentally hung up as i was sending a text at the same time.  Tried calling back and "not allowed" came up.

I got called from them 3 times this week, its really annoying and interupting and now that I know this, it just makes me hate Tesltra even more!

got it again and answered - they said it was Aussie Home loans, they had my details (name, home address etc) from 4 years ago.  It must be a centralised call centre that does work for various clients (aussie, telstra etc).  There was no hint of a scam or any request to give them any more of my updated details.

Who the F%$# is this calling me? I keep trying to call it back and can never get through on it, just keeps hanging up.
