riiiiiigght.   She was polite so I saw no reason not to answer her questions.

Be Careful, they will call back a few days later and say "Owner's Name" agreed to advertise in their magazine months before, hoping you don't remember and just pay the bill.

Got a call from 03 85106006 and said she from Info line and wanted to confirm our company details and owner's name. She had all the details correct then said ok, will call you back in 12 months time. A little strange but she was polite, didn't try to sell anything so I just said ok and hang up.

This is just another phishing method - they get the details, then call back later (not specifically them, they can also sell the info other other companies) ... if you give them the info, they then have your details (or that or your boss) who will then get other calls down the track asking for them specifically. I would just say "no thanks" - don't give them a chance to answer, and hang up.

I receive up to 6-10 cold callers a day.  There ARE a lot of online directories that need updating. I have no problem double checking details that are available to any of the public online regarding this business.  

I have been a gatekeeper for 14 years....   I've heard all the tricks of the trade and they don't get thru no matter who they ask for. You deal with me... Or... you can bugger off.   As long as the boss agrees.    

Got the call, They said all names correctly. I answered the question then they hung up. Later that day I thought it was strange so Googled the number only to find this page.

I received the same call today. From this same number. It was a man and a little rude, as he wouldn't clearly say who he was calling from.

I also received an identical call today. Person asked to confirm my address and name and then hung up saying he would call again in 3 months.

Received the call from "Reach DM" confirming all of our company details, I was hesitant, when I asked what it was in regards to she said we are going on a data base with over 300,000 other businesses - its a free advertising service, I said we do not want to be on that register and she said rudely - you don't? I said no thank you, she paused for about 5 seconds and hang up on me... so DAMN RUDE!!!

keep getting nuisance calls from this number call drops out on answer when I redial get message to say ext busy have no idea who they are but it is getting to be very bad as my phone number is used to book funerals into a cemetery.

When asking to be removed he said "okay darlin"
When he thought the phone had hung up he said "good luck getting removed"

I've worked for telemarketing companies before and I know only half the numbers get removed who ask, but come on!
Have a little common courtesy and keep your comments til after you've actually disconnected.

Just had call from very fast talking male, confirmed my PO Box Number and Suburb  I asked what it about and he said we will call you again in 12 - 18 month toreconfirm then caller  just hung up

Received call from this number, When i went to answer it hung up, So i thought i would google it!!! and this page has vome up

Scammers.  Waste of time.  Don't bother answering call unless you want your time wasted.

Rude operator rang to confirm owner/address of business.  When I asked her a question she hung up.  Don't know how they got our details & for what purpose.  I rang Impact Lists 1800 646 204 to register complaint and have our details removed from listing.
