Rings for about 15 secs, then hangs up

No message left so I have no idea who this is.

Same here, rings for 10 secs then stops.  I answered once and there was silence on the other end.  Just had 3 consecutive calls between 6:05 pm and 6:15 pm.  You know, dinner time.  I suspect it's Optus, yet I don't have any fixed contracts with them.

No idea who this caller is, no message and when I have tried to call back, no answer! Very annoying!!!

Me again.  5 missed calls in 3 days, one answered and silence.!

I have the answer you all seek.  It is a charity organization called TLC for kids.  They are a genuine Melbourne based charity, who provide assistance to disadvantaged children.  I have been donating a small amount a couple of times a year, for many years.  This is a genuine charity, providing tax deductable receipts etc.

I get at least one call a day, sometimes 3 or 4.  Same thing...either waits for me to answer then hangs up, or hangs up just as I get to the phone.  When I ring back it just rings and rings.  Are you telling me that this person can't be shut down by the phone company who provides his service??  I'm sure it's a telemarketer who's pissed off 'cos I refuse to answer personal questions about the hours I work etc etc.  Also may be the one who rings promoting a holiday package.  Lowlife idiots.  No wonder they have such menial jobs - they don;'t have the brains to do anything else.

Back again.  I don't believe it's the TLC number.  (Their number is 1300 361 461).  However I have emailed them about the constant pestering of the public.  I suggest you check that your donations are in fact going to where you assume they are.  I'll let you know what they say when I get a reply.

We are on the "do not call" list - we are a doctor's surgery for urgent medical attention. Callers like this clog up emergency services!

I get a call from this number every single night around 7.30 - 8pm. I pick up and silence. I called back and let it ring for at least a minute, no one answers. Our number is already on the government's 'do not call' register. How can I stop this?!
