- JLOI got one. I called it back and it is iPrimus. Not sure what they wanted.
- AndrewI keep getting the same number calling me. A split second after I pickup it drops out. I called them and they told me to register my number on the Do Not Call List and it can take upto 30 working days for the call to stop. Since I am not a customer they cannot take me off the list.
A few weeks ago I left my number on their website for them to call me back and talk about a broadband offer. They called back a few hours later. Every since i've been getting the calls once every 1-2.
Way to go Primus...you really think i'm going to take up the plan. Go to hell!- Caller: Primus

- RoryThis is the default outbound number for the iPrimus sales dialler, it's an Auto-Dialler used by the iPrimus Sales team in Melbourne to make outbound calls from dialling lists. Lists are usually made up of customers and potential customers eligible for some new/special deal.
If the dialler doesn't get through to you (or it there aren't enough agents to take your call) then the dialler will re-schedule your call for 25 hours in the future (within the working hours of the outbound sales team)
If you get a call from it where you pickup and you don't get through to anyone, this is because the dialler was not able to find an agent to put you through to, this happens because to get the most out of the agents, diallers will dial more numbers than there are agents, to compensate for a percentage of them being busy/engaged or no answer.
If it happens a lot, then it means the team managers in the sales area have set the dialler to dial too aggressively on a list, the dialler provides them with real-time reports on how many calls are being missed and what their agents are doing, so they can/should be adjusting the settings to find a good balance between keeping their agents on calls, and not dropping calls.
The dialler checks each against an internal DNCR (do-not-call registry) every time it dials, so if you don't want to receive any further calls you can either ask a Sales Team Manager to add you to the internal DNCR or you can use the ACMA DNCR (which will take 21 days to filter down to us)
Note that the outbound sales team get access to special offers that aren't available normally, so being on the DNCR means you might miss out on deals, this is the only downside to avoiding these calls using a DNCR.- Caller: Primus Telecom (Aust) Pty Ltd

- Anne-MarieI have received several phone calls on my mobile from this number. As yet I have not heard my mobile phone ring to answer the call. One call was made to me when I was on an overseas holiday, but did not have my mobile with me. Two calls were made today 4 August 2010. Have tried to call this number from a landline and this is all I get “we regret that the number you have dialled was incomplete or incorrect”. As I don't know who this number belongs to cannot remember if I have received any other calls from it on my mobile.
- Caller: I haven't called any company.
