Regular calls hangs up and doesnot pickup on return dial

Keep getting calls from this number. Hangs up on pickup. No answer on redial.

yeah the same thing happened to me im starting to get sick of it

have been receiving "hang up" calls from this number for the past 24 hours.  The first I became aware that it was the same call coming through (I have a 2 storey house full of people picking up the phone, so couldve been going on longer), was when I got 2 calls between 1 & 2 am this morning.  My daughter has just told me that the calls I've heard ringing through the day, have all been "hang-ups".  I've called the number and it rings a few times and then hangs up.  I've had a number of friends call it, and they are all getting different responses.  Some the same as me, some being told the  number is not available, some it rings out for.......  I doubt that it's a marketing company as they would speak when someone answers, as that's what their business is, and I doubt they'd be calling the middle of the night either.  Others who have left comments on the Who Calls Me site appear to be having the same experience.  Somebody needs to find out who owns this number and why it is obviously calling lots of people, but most particularly why it's disturbing my family (and young baby) in the  middle of the night.  It's an offence to use a telecommunications device to harrass, threaten or stalk people.  I would estimate that as at 8.52pm tonite, I would have had no less than 10 calls over the past 24 hours.  This constitutes harassment in any terms.

Adele..DON'T CALL BACK!!!!!!! These things are set up from computers.  People do NOT make the calls or answer.  They call so many times to get you to call the number.  Once you call the number you will be billed hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars on your telephone accounts for calling.  They are generally NOT in Australia and they are not committing any offences under Australian law because they are not in Australia.  Have a look at Scamwatch.com

it would be great if our dear government would actually help and track these people down and shut them down.  
In my case when they rang, they actually asked for me by surname, ie Mrs... or Mr. however, i am not married, and they called me at work.  the only thing i can think of is that somewhere i gave out my work number when filling in information on the net. i like to mis match my home details and work, so that no one gets a whole picture. i hear way too often about identity theft, etc...
i also tried to call the number back and it simply goes to busy after a f ew rings.

My wife believes the above comment may be a little harsh, so I apologise if I have offended anyone.  Truth is I have ankle surgery on my right ankle in about 2 months so it becomes very irritating very quickly when you need to get up for phone call that has no answer.

"Same deal here, been calling each night for about a week now.  I'm going to find these sneaky rascals and pray they dont encounter my ever so slightly rougher side."

In-bound call, no response when answered, time around 10:25am Saturday morning

Keep getting regular calls at 6.30pm. No response when answered, very annoying.

They called here tonight at 6.30pm, my dad answered and they asked for me,  saying that they were a modeling group. I was asleep at the time so dad hung up.

I thought is was very odd, as Im 5.3" and have never modelled a day in my life.

Hangs up every time I pick up the phone.  It has been everyday now for the last week.  Relieved to know I'm not the only one whose been hassled.  And I've never called them back.  If its that urgent, they can call me back.  Which they do, unfortunately, and the cycle starts all over again.

annoying caller ....won't talk and will not answer a call back.......pathetic

I get these regular phone calls too. I've saved it with a name and i will reject the calls when i receive them in the future!

I'm in Sydney and I just received a call from that same number at 5:51 PM Thursday 17-02-2011. They hung up immediately when I answered and again when I called back some time later. What is going on?

Just recieved 3 calls from this number, called it back no answer.
This is a new number i do not understand how anyone could have got it.
