had a few calls in the past few days

She says wrong number and hangs up

Yes same, get few calls from this number maybe 3 a week to my unlisted home phone! Maybe I should call them back..?

i had a call from this number yesterday - either they hung up just as i got to phone or a second before - they didnt leave a voicemail message

The voicemail message said 'Thanks for calling BMS Telecorp' and that one of their clients had tried to contact me using tehir service. Apparently BMS Telecorp is a Contact Management Centre.

Yeah, I rang them back and got the same answering machine (BMS Telecorp). The recording said they had been trying to contact me - even though I rang them back on a different phone to the one we received the hung-up call on!

Have received 5 calls from them now claiming to be ringing on behalf of Bigpond to try and sell us ADSL which is not available in our area and why we have just gone wireless. The drip that rang today said our exchange had been upgraded two weeks ago, which of course was an outright lie as it won't get upgraded until 2014.

Have now made an official complaint to the Do Not Call Register (I've been registered for over a year) as advised by Telstra management.

They called today saying they were calling on behalf of bigpond. I didn't believe them so I called Telstra to inform them of these scammers but to my surprise was told they were actually calling me on their behalf. I hope the poor lad I abused didn't take it to heart :(

Caller 4.30pm 27/1/09.. Indian type accent, claimed to be Telstra selling ADSL..
Told him i had Wireless Internet and he hung up..mmmh Not very pushy was he?

I have caller ID and yesteray (5th March 2009) this number had called my home number 4 times in the period between 3pm and 6pm. I wasn't home at the time and when I checked the phone after 7pm this is what I had found. Persistant, annoying, and yes you are all right...it is on behalf of Telstra that they keep ringing!

Keep getting multiple calls a week from this number. Never answer and they always hang up.

Its a call centre, they call on behalf of a bunch of Australian utilities providers.

received a call from them tonight on my optus mobile but I didn't answer as I never answer from numbers I don't recognise, called back - no answer

I just got a call from this number aswell. I missed the call though and tried to call back only to have the number ring out. Its very annoying.

I got the call to claim behalf of Energy Australia to offer me a discount on gas, I trusted them and sign the oral contract over the phone. my god I'm starting worried.
I will call Energy Au tomorow, hope it's not a scam.

I missed the call and tried to ring back... nothing. No idea how they got my number but have wireless with bigpond which seems to be a theme here. Not going to bother ringing back.
