- AnnieA female voice with an indian accent answered and said this would not be a marketing call, they just wanted to make research on the working population and would just take 30 Seconds. My standard answer to questions like this is 'I am not working' and she promptly hang up on me. No manners at all!! Who wants to get details out of Australian households from overseas? What is the purpose? Very suspicious!!!
- JoJoI have just had a call from apparently Tim Thomas frome Income Managing Services in NarreWarren he was Indian decent saying he could save me income tax he said he had rung my husband who had done a survey when he knew my first name I assumed it was true however once he spelt my name wrong and my husbands name wrong alarm bells rang I asked again how he got our number he then fessed up because the call was being recorded was from the old white pages however we have a silent number and how did he get financial details????? He wanted an appointment because he had other families in the area they were coming to see. I told him i wasnt interested and hung up

- RollsWe've had repeated evening calls from this number. This is despite being on the Do Not Call Register. The first time it rang we saw that it was not a number known to us and let it ring out. We googled the number and saw others' reports of it. We've set the ring tone so it is recognisably different to other calls. Now it rings most evenings between dinner and children's bed time. Obviously an unwelcome marketing caller or scammer of some sort.
- caron clarke| 1 replyI keep getting calls from this number when i answer no one speaks
- James| 1 replyAfter a number of calls I did some investigating and below is the response from The Australian Communications and Media Authority (the ACMA):
The ACMA has received a number of complaints from consumers about telemarketing calls made by Information Contact Services (ICS). The complaints received by the ACMA indicate that these telemarketing calls are potentially generated by offshore call centres that make "lead generation" calls. The call centres appear to make cold calls asking questions about the consumer's personal, lifestyle and financial circumstances. Consumers often receive a further call advising that they have ‘qualified’ for a financial service and offer to forward their details to an Australian-based company for a follow up call or appointment.
The ACMA’s enquiries indicate that some of these calls are being made on behalf of a company known as Infotronics UK Ltd (Infotronics). The ACMA is continuing to liaise with Infotronics directly about its obligations under the DNC legislation and is closely monitoring it for compliance. The ACMA has also engaged the assistance of the UK regulator in dealing with this matter.
Following recent discussions, the ACMA now understands that Infotronics is taking significant steps to improve its compliance with the DNC legislation.
Given that the call centres appear to be located offshore, the most effective way of addressing the matter is for the ACMA to identify the Australian-based companies that are linked to the practice. The information provided in complaints received by the ACMA is an important part of this process.- Caller: Information Contact Services (ICS)

- lizhomevery annoying, they do not listen
- Ollies Mama| 1 replyMost of these comments seem to be from Australia, but I live in the UK and have been getting calls from this number. As I have Caller Display I don't answer and they never leave a message. I am ex-directory and registered with TPS so how have they got my number?
Annoying. - Nan replies to Ollies MamaAs the company which supplies our data to the call centre is UK based, they may now be supplying UK numbers to the callers. Ex Directory only means our details are not in the 'Phone Book. There are many other ways that these pests get them. Anywhere that you have filled in your name, address and telephone number can have sold it on. There was the fuss last year when it was found that the employees of Indian Call Centres used by UK companies were stealing and selling on our data. There is a thriving black market in personal data. TPS cannot stop calls coming from overseas and, following a long conversation with one of their staff, it was confirmed that it is the responsibility of the company calling you to "scrub" their lists to remove TPS registered numbers, not the job of the lead generating company. You could always e-mail Infotronics UK, via their website, and ask them where they got your data.
- DebI have had several calls from this number and they hang up on me everytime I answer the phone. So once I took note of the number and rang it. It always goes to a message bank saying that the company is called Ardex. I know someone however who works for Ardex and he has spoken to many people in the management of the company and they know nothing about it. So next time they rang, instead of saying hello (which is when they always hang up on me) I just said the word Ardex. And they came on the line saying they were doing a workforce survey from Payless Solutions. First time I hung up on them, but it happened again just now so i told him i was really busy so he hung up on me. Extremely suspicious!
- Caller: Payless Solutions
- Call type: Survey
- AshleeI am at work and they are calling our buisness number atleast 3 times a day and when i answer they hang up?? Very annoying expecially being on a busy switch board I cant afford muck around survey calls etc... GRR!

- MalokoI had my VOID Phone switch off from January 20 to April 10. Less than 5 minutes after I set up my Internet Connection and the Void Phone the Phone 03-9001-0038 started to Ring and a woman was asking fro the Landlord of the house, when I said to her "How do you know that I just connected my phone and what Software is she using?" she hung up the phone. That same day there were 3 other separate Private phone calls with no Phone Numbers from others who had an Indian accent but they too Hung Up the phone after I question them that I had the Phone disconnected for months but somehow they knew that I just Connected the phone. This is not longer Coincidence, those Indians Telemarketers have some kind of secret Software that tells them when someone uses the Phone and Connects the Phone. I think is some kind of Software similiar to Microsoft Email or Facebook that tells all your friends when you come Online and they Contact you. There is nothing on the Phone to click the Invisible so that those Indians Telemarketers software does not detect people when they use the Phone or Connect the Phone. The Phone Companies does not care because even if you tell them to place your Phone on Private those Indians Telemarketers software that they use can still detect you when you use the Phone. Optus and Telstra are Terrorists for no putting a STOP by Blocking the Software that Indians Telemarketers are using. If I ever Rule this country of Australia I will SHUT DOWN the Terrorists call Optus and Telstra and their CEO will be taken to Somalia and the Congo where the Blacks will eat their harts uncooked :(

- DawnCalls saying not a telemarketer and for research and will take 30 seconds and asks if you are working, when I said I've ad these calls before they just hang up. I am on the do not call register
- PhilHad them call me just now too.... "don't worry sir I am not calling to do telemarketing or waste your time...but"...
I used to believe it is important to be nice to people who ring.
I told them I don't do surveys anymore, she hung up on me...so now I withdraw the agenda to be nice.
Like many of you I am on the do not call register!!!.
