Someone called from this number claiming to be from Telstra and asked if they are speaking to the the authorised account representative. When I said "yes" they immediately hung up!

When i called the number back there was no answer. Certainly sounded like the pause associated with an auto-dialler when I first answered, so it's definitely some kind of call centre.

This man called back and said "FCUK YOU, MEL, YOU [***]!", then hung up.

Yeah i also received a call from this number, but i missed it. I been calling it back for about 2 weeks now but no one ever answers, so i have no idea who it was.

The number is a safe number from a call centre offering great rates :)

These are clowns who claim they are from Telstra.
I've just given them a caller ID "Telstra Spammers" so I don't waste my time answering.
I've told them NOT to call back - but they do anyway.
What's the point of a "Do Not Call Register" by the ACMA if businesses can't use it??
We get 6 calls a day from Telco's wanting to churn us to some other network. What a waste of time!

This number called me but when I return the call - no-one answers.  Was interested to read that it is yet another Telstra impersonator.

Can't stand when someone calls pretending to be from Telstra and starts asking questions that a Telstra employee would know, and then when you say, so you don't work for Telstra because if you did you would know the answer, the get completely irrate and start being abusive.  I think Telstra should take action against them, they are basically trying to defraud people into thinking they are from Telstra.

I received a call from this number today claiming they were from Telsta, the girls name was Natasha but would not give any identification number - eventually I managed to get her to tell me that the company she works for is called Time Telecom Australia, she was trying to sell wholesale rates? as opposed to retail rates??
I recently switched to Telsta through a Business Solution Specialist who were very helpful and offered a very good deal... why then would this other so called Telstra person ring and want me to change it all??    a scam I'm sure!
I like so many are so sick of these time wasters ringing when we are trying to run a small business.
It would be good to know who we can contact to try and prevent this type of harrassment!!

I have had quite a few calls from this number. Someone saying they are from Telstra. The first time I told them not interested as they started asking too many personal information questions so I hung up, the 2nd time I heard another person in the back ground laughing, so I hung up again. I have tried to call the number back, it is either engaged or rings out. I got another call again the other day and when I told the guy I was sick of them ringing and didn't believe he was from telstra, he automatically hung up. They have called quite a few times as the missed calls keep coming up on my phone. I refuse now to pick up the phone. I do not believe they are from telstra so I would suggest for anyone that gets a call from them to hang up.

They called me today and said they were from telstra. When I asked them about my last bill I was told they they only using general information from my area. They gave me an abn number which isn't registered. Never found out who they really were

got a call and i said i was not interested, he told me F U and hung up!!

by the way he said he was a Telstra wholesaler, meaning he IS from so other company................

do not give your ABN! i called telstra immeadiately after they called and I soke to someone.
he said that the number was not from Telstra and that if they call back to ask for ther ID no, if it starts with a D or C and the next number is a 6 then they are Telstra, anything else they are not.
I kept asking the guy if he was really from telstra and he kept saying yeah yeah and then said 'i'll just put you on hold i need to check something' and then hung up.

We get between 2 to 3 calls a day from telco's wanting to change us from telstra to there company we  tell them that we are not interested but they keep calling how can you stop them?

These guys are nasty at best. They will misrepresent they are from Telstra Wholesale, I imagine if I didn't no better they would even be half convincing.

Fortunately I can blacklist numbers and they are now on it.

As these guys have been at it for as long as I can remember, calling and pretending to be from Telstra and not accepting return calls. I'll just out the company that provides them the phone service.

I'm sure GoTalk would have terms to terminate the service of idiots like this, doesn't make the problem go away but I'm happy to put it on public record for anyone to make complaints if they wish.
