Hello,

I received a missed call from this number on Monday 9th March when I was having my class.
Today I received it again and picked up the call but no answer.
So I've made a google search on this call and found out it was from Optus, telemarking centre?
I do not wish to receive any calls from this number again in the future as I am not interested to participate in any surveys or hear about cheap deals, etc.

I bought a pre-paid Optus mobile which I so rarely use that I haven't even bothered to learn my own phone number. Only purchased it for temporary couple of weeks use while away. Basically there are only 3 people who phone me on this phone, other than this Optus number which calls me daily and harasses me non-stop. She can't even pronounce my very normal Christian name???? and then speaks in a mumbo jumbo fashion herself. I automatically hang up on her now. What I would really like to know is what right Optus have to be harassing me in this manner when all I did was buy a pre-paid mobile...mainly so that I would never have to worry about Optus bills etc. She has spieled on about the advantages for me in upgrading my service to a post-paid contract etc. etc. I think this stinks of stalking me, but I will of course never, ever sign an Optus contract.

I got many miss call from this number, when I am busy or working.
Its very unethical, when I pick the phone he just connect my number to online mobile (I got charged few dollar).

Just Contact this number and [***] them off....   email: Taymour.Nabulsi@optus.com.au  OR ring 03 9033 7366 .  He will put a stop to it.

I am gettings calls from this number. It's a scam I have answered a few times and it hangs up after 4 sec every time. I have also called the number and a recorded message says "If you haved missed a call please listen to this very long and expensive menu on this interstate number you have called from your mobile .Thank you for spending more of your hard earned money with optus.... fkrs

i got a call from this number at 6pm... since i pulled of a 14 hour shift before that, it woke me up. i didnt recognise the number so i rejected it. I typed the number into Google in case it was another job i had applied for, but this forum came up, and it seems it's from Optus? why couldnt they just send me an email? im on pre paid so there should be no problems serious enough to call me.

my partner keeps getting calls and strange thing is the number is a victorian or tasmanian number.

I replay and the recording it referred a Yes Optus marketing.
I just don't know why called me.

Gosh I hope some unhappy tech head pays them back.  It's even difficult to make a complaint.  It's a breach of privacy with the information they hold, harassment and a waste of money.  Who is running this function.  Your figures may looj good but obviously you are being fooled.  Read the posts.  Time to change!

They've been calling me ever since i i switched from telstra to optus last year. Starting to wish i hadn't switched now!
I get the same questions as well. Not to mention, in the last few months I have changed my surname (which optus know about as my bills are in the new surname) but they always ask for me under my maiden name. As well as asking where I live and how much i spend on my phone.

I figure if these guys were really optus they would know all of these details and not ask me and use my proper name!

They may say they are optus but it sounds more like a scam to me!

If you don't want to get the calls just ask them to put you on the do not call register. Optus keep a list of all the people not to call.
