Annoying OPTUS marketing call. Ignore it ... There are also a series of other 03-9009-6XXX numbers that do the same thing.

this number calls me one a day every day. ignore it!!!!!!!!!!

Annoying optus telemarketers. At least they claim from optus, person I talked to had a very thick accent.

Its so annoying that i said them NO for 3 times, but they still keep on calling me.

Why don't they stop? I don't think so that they are calling on behalf of Optus.....

I wasn't happy with Telstra, so I switches to Optus a couple of years ago. They would be ok otherwise if they didn't bother me with these nuisance calls all the time. Perhaps there's a better service provider somewhere?

At least they don't call my landline number, thank god. On the mobile I can ignore it. Of course it wastes time having to stop working and find the phone and check the caller id, so it's still a nuisance and a time wasting call.

They just called again. If they don't stop soon, I'll ring Optus and abuse them.

ive had this number today ring me 3 times in a row! no jokes. woke the baby too so extremely over it!

Had the number ring me today and left a message to ring back the number - did not advise who was ringing

The reps that ring from this number are definitely NOT from Optus, I actually range Optus myself to confirm this!

Furthermore, the questions these (non Optus) reps ask you to confirm... such as personal info like addresses, how much is your monthly Optus bill, and when does your contract end etc etc... absolute dead give away that they're not from Optus, if they were they would obviously have these details already!!!

Don't answer your phone if this number rings you... do what I do, I have a special contact set up in my phone "Sales_do not answer" which I add all the nuisance numbers to... that way my time is not wasted answering stupid phone calls from fake reps!!!

just had the same number call me... prick hung up on me when i told him i wasnt interested and didnt have the time. Then today he calls me again so i hung up on him!

Definately not from Optus, they claim they are but - not

I love these calls, I just make stuff up! Normally give them details of my local Telstra store (because they made me wait 10mins to get a microsim)

I called the number back and they say they are OCIS an outsourced sales information collection service? Said they work on behalf of Optus etc etc

Recieved a call today, claiming they are from optus and that they wanted to confirm account details. They couldn't tell me the account number they were calling with regards to.

The lady speaking (with a very thick accent) said she needed to confirm the business name, address, and email address. I told her that if she was genuinely calling from Optus, she should already have our details? She said that they needed to be "updated"

I told her that I would call Optus directly and hung up.

Upon speaking to Optus, they had no record of this call and advised not to disclose any details

total scam, probably using details for spamming

they call me every week day, its very annoying. i am going to ring up my provider and have the number blocked.
I did recall it , but you cannot be removed unless you can dial the options on your mobile phone to have it deleted from their list

Bloody Optus. Telemarketer. You cannot sell me because I'm a telemarketer too:) )

I called back (not knowing it was marketing) and got their voice mail. The voice mail has an option to remove you number form their marketing call list.

Like all of you, I too received a call from 03-90096601 "OCIS" claiming to be representing Optus.
This came on my Telstra prepaid handset.
The lady with a very broad thick accent was determined to confirm my details for their database. I clearly explained that because she called me - she would have my information.
For every question asked of me I responded "Optus does not need that information".
In the end just before she hung up - she thanked my for my cooperation. (I noted a hint of sarcasm)
The company is called Oceania Customer Interaction Services.

You can call back the number and have your number removed from their database. (but unless you are local it is a long distance call - not economical on a prepaid sim).

I also called Optus to express my displeasure at receiving this type of call (and that it is a poor representation of Optus) and the Optus staff member was very apologetic about the whole ordeal. She also contacted OCIS to ensure my number was removed.

I also explained that my number is supposed to be on the DO NOT CALL register, which makes it even more irritating.
