Got a call from this number. I answered and there was background noise then someone spoke on my end then hang-up

I have been called 4 times today from the same number. I decided to answer it at they are trying to sell insurance.

I think unless you answer and so no thanks (or yes) they will just keep calling...

I got a couple of calls from this number as well. Didnt asnwer as i couldnt recognize the number. They didnt leave a voice message either.

Its from insurance line. I just had the same thing happen so returned the call with my number hidden.

Have any of you filled out any surveys lately? I filled some out last night to enter into some draws and after entering it comes up with LOADS of yes or no answers about different companies and if i am interested in hearing from them etc. And it states that answering the questions will give the competition holders to pass on my details EVEN if I am not interested in their products, purely just by answering ANYTHING at all. Hope that makes sense, and helps a few of you. Hating myself for wanting to win that holidays over seas ;)

got call from the number ..the caller knew my name and it was about insurance. i have subscribed  to many promotional things so im assuming it could be one of them ..

Have received two calls from this number, both times I answered and the call hung up.

Thanks Louise, yes that is exactly what has happened to me, it is such a trap. Tricking people into thinking they may have a chance of winning something is so lousy.  It makes me so mad, so now I have constant calls, even letters with brochures in the mail - even though I ticked NOT INTERESTED. It is just plain old trickery and a disceptive way to obtain people's details by pretending there is something to be won. SOOOO MAD!!!!

I answered the call this afternoon and it is an insurance line.....

I have blocked the number but they are still calling 2-3 times a day. It doesn't ring it just goes to voice mail but they don't leave a message.

Me too, becoming so tired of it and feeling jaded with competition entries.  Texts on my phone, calls to my workplace, letters in the letterbox.

Insurance company. Won't take No for an answer.  Best to block them if you can.

Did that stop them?

They call me twice a day once in the morning and at night.  This has been going on for three weeks..  getting sick and tied of it..  everytime i answer it they hang up...  SO OVER IT...  :-(

I am sick to death of these people calling me...tell them I do not want them to call again...

its insurance line, i wont answer private no's or no's i dont recognize but after 2 calls per day, daily, i eventually get sick of it and answered and tell them im not interested, they always leave it alone for about a month then start calling twice a day again, this is the 3rd time its happened in 4 months, if i block the number they just start calling from another similar number, so friggen annoying, there must be a way to report this?

Keeps ringing everyday 2 - 3 times.
When answer it hangs up.
I believe this to be crank calling after an initial insurance call and you don'w wish for further details.
Suggest anyone contacted report to scamwatch

I rang  137787 and spoke with customer car and they said they will block my phone from any more calls
