Have recieved calls from this number asking for my partner but they wont tell me who they are or where they are calling from.

got call from same number but not revealing her identity?

It is a debt collection agency!

Just had a call from this number asking me for personal info so straight away I became very suss about it. I had asked them for their personal info but that didn't go down well. We do not have any bad debts so I'm a bit shocked as to why they would need to be asking for my details. I went back after the 3 minutes but seems like they couldn't wait for me to return.
Thankyou Jim Florentine for yet another truly amusing moment with pesky callers! Without the use of this I would not be having an amusing time annoying the hell out of said pesky callers!

Yea sure I could just hang up but this is just far more amusing.

Debt collection Agencies are worse than Sewer Slime!! Asked them not to call on many occasions even had ASIC and Ombudsman on board.

Her name is Tula she is the rudest person ever, this matter has nothing to do with myself she calls 24/7 and even gets my neighbours involved which is not legal. SEE YOU IN COURT !

yeah it is legal to call your neighbors but not to disclose any reason why they are calling but they can say they are calling from a debt collection agency and have to give the name if asked for it.

Just had a call from this number asking for my Mum. I told the lady (idian accent) that this was my number and not my Mum's. She then asked me for my Mum's number and when I asked her what she was calling in regards to she said it was a business matter. I told her that if she could not tell me what the call was regarding I could not give her my Mum's number. She then got all nervous saying it was a business matter and needed to contact my Mum. Again I told her she wasn't going to get the information she asked for and then she hung up.

got a phone call from this number, random, highly ilegal, they knew my name, but I wasnt the person they were looking for. they said they were going to delete my name and number from their registers - I hope they do. Still feel unconfortable

They will not remove your name or number from their register.  They will keep calling as they never believe you.  I no longer answer calls from numbers I do not recognise.  These people are leaches, they are rude, arrogant, cunning liars.  They will do whatever they want to get to who they think they are chasing.  If your name is similar to one they are chasing someone else will simply call you.  I had the same thing.  Found my name on my work web page, phoned me.  Found I wasn't who they wanted (different dob and the name they were looking for was my married name, not single name).  They said they would take the work number off their register. Guess What!  2 weeks later work number bombarded with calls from their mobile numbers, still trying to find who they wanted.

Lady rang work looking for an ex employee.  ( who seems to owe money to a few people)

They said it's the first time they have called ( they actually mean ... the person making the call is the first person to call).

Refused to give company name.  Kept saying it's a private business.  I said well this is his old work and he doesn't' work here.. so if it's private then you shouldn't be calling a work number,  you can get him at home.

I just had someone calling looking for my sister, asking her address and all. when I questioned her she wouldn't give me any details so I told her to forget about it.

We got a rude call from this number asking about our son. Is this harassment and subject to law?

Keep on getting calls from them as well known as tula she rude

Just got a call from that number 03 6104 4585. They put the phone down once I answered.
Called them back and a guy names Peter Clark from Lion Finance answered.
He wanted my details but I told him "You called me, who are you looking for"

He could not answer that question. Unreal idiots

They have called my house twice now looking for our neighbors won't give any info to us just ask for us to tell the neighbours to call them I called them back today and they couldn't even find anything on their system wouldn't tell me who they were either I googled the number to find out who they are very sly buggers they had better look out the next time they call my number!

I had 2 years of them calling me, someone had fraudulent my personal details and opened cards in my name, I have been to the police and spoke to customer resolution, signed at stat. declaration. They have no proof, but still harass me, they like a dog with a bone

So legally they are not allowed to involve other people as they have been calling my brother christ knows how they got his number

It's Liion Finance. Will ask you for your personal info'. DOB, etc, but will not identify themselves if you ask them for a single item of detail on who it is calling. Ask for the callers supervisor and they will hang up in your ear. Rude, unprofessional, but not illegal. If you receive a call from this nunber, firstly ask them who it is calling and when they advise you that they are not prepared to tell you, then tell them ”It is a commonly accepted courtesy that a caller identify themselves. As you have demonstrated disrespect for me, it is with no regret whatsoever I feel compelled to tell you to f**k off". Then hang up on them as you smile to yourself and have a wonderful day.
