keep getting cals from this number

I just wanted to know if some one new if this number was from a proper company? and what company it is? If you coluld help that would be good.

i think they are a scam company. i found this page by googling the number after they range me twice. they start by claiming a new phone and some deal has been "approved". i never gave them my number, and they dont even know my name, when pressed. srsly dodgy.

I personally believe that it is a company that does not have the best of intentions.

From what I got out of the operator. It is a company called VIP-TEL, http://www.viptel.com.au/. The sound quality and delay made me think it was a call center using VoIP from O/S to cold call aussie numbers.

The buisness address I got from the manager was Level 27, 101 Colins St, Melbourne, Vic, 3000.

The ACN of the company at the above web site: 108 532 083.

DON't Give them ANY of your details, DOB, NOTHING.

That address is a 'virtual office'.

go 3 missed calls from this number yesterday and finally got to answer when they called back today....they knew my name and said they got my number off one of my friends who they quoted the name of and sure enough yes that was actually one of my friends:o they started going on about they have sold my friend a tv and camera recently and i cut them off and told them i wasnt interested...i hope they dont call again they sounded really dodgy!

my friend keeps getting calls from them it is indeed vip tel and they're above dodgy they seem to know all these things and keep trying to sell them stuff stay away is my advice

Yes, I am getting calls from this number also. I rang it back and I got some recorded message for the VIP company. I hung up immediately. I felt it was a scam straight away.

They hacked a friend contact list and called everyone on it... including me. What they are doing is criminal.

Everytime these dogs ring up, I ramp up the music and play it to them.

they've rung me twice this week with all the same dribble that's been written above. whats funny is they're claiming they sold a phone to my grandmother, might be easier selling ice to eskimos!

How strange is this??? I hae been getting call after call from a victorian number which is either when my phone is off or I just don't answer but it doesn't stop, day after day it rings and never leaves a message. I decided to get online and see if I caould do a reverse number search (which I couldn't ) and out of frustration I type in the search engine....Phone number 0399360500 and found this thread and a number more other sites all addressing this same issue with this ame number.... Strange isn't it

i got a call from this number like you all and like what they said to you, one of my friends gave them my number. it's not really a scam. you pay i think it is $50/month for unlimited sms and calls around oz and your in contract for 2 yrs. its ideal for someone who is looking for a new phone company. they are currently giving away an LCD screen or 2lbs lap top for those who want to join up!

I have had 2 missed calls from this number and straight away I was confused because I have never seen a number like this before...

I've had a few calls from this number. I could hardly understand them and they had my name wrong. They're going to cop a whistle down the line if they keep calling.

How strange. I had the same thing they called and gave me that great offer but too scared to join.

Got a call from these guys just before. I could hardly understand the person on the other end of the line. From what I could tell, she was offering me a 26" LCD TV or a 17" Laptop if I joined for a $39.95 contract.

She also said that she got my Number from a Shane Kennith Brumly... not someone I know but she knew my name.

Just got a call from them, had a missed call a couple days ago too. Could not understand a thing so I said I can't understand you and the female voice got worse, actually hurt my ear so i said shut up and I hung up. If they call again i'll notify the police.
