Recieved 4 missed calls today from this number when I call back its a female voice recording saying that they are a marketing and social awareness company. A load of crap ignore it.

Iget the "last un answered call" when I come home and it is annoying that it costs me money to find it is a nuisance call.

a msg yet rang mobile and said they had a missed call from me - very strange -how does one stop these calls if do not know who they are?

I received a missed call on Saturday, returned the call, no answer. Received the same call from the same number today and they hung up the call after i answered the call. WTF?

This number appears to be from a company conducting surveys and research on behalf of other organisations. In my case, they called on behalf of city west water, wanting me to do a survey. I had participated in a survey 3 months earlier, but after receiving 6 calls on friday, 4 calls on saturday and another 2 calls on monday, I had enough! When I was finally able to speak to one of their workers, they denied having called me that many times. I made it clear that I wanted to be removed from their call list, and am now considering submitting a complaint to city west water. If anyone finds out the actual name of this telemarketing company please let us know.

This number has called my mobile 4 times in the last 5 weeks. I don't bother answering numbers that I don't recognise. However today I called it from work and there was no answer. We have also had calls to our home that we have answered and they say they're doing a survey on behalf of blah blah. I took a survey once but now I tell them I have visitors and hang up.

There were 5 missed calls yesterday as well as many calls made from this number every single day, they hang-up once the answering machine kicks in. Ive tried phoning but it just rings out.  The most annoying was at 8.30pm last night.

I am very tired of the company and if it is a charity, there is no way on earth that they will receive money for me, they should be using the money donated for their core reason as opposed to wasting it on useless unsolicited calls.

had a call at 12:56pm today, I live in brisbane but everyday i go to work this 0399407777 number keeps calling my mobile during work hours its really annoying. How do i stop these people from calling and can i block them somehow so they don't keep doing it

This number showed on caller ID last night at 7:49pm - I was on another call and didn't waste my time answering it - glad of that.
I am on a 'do not call register' so they had better not ring me for a survey or I will report it.

have contacted iview several times telling them to take me off their list but they still keep calling my mobile everyday im at the point where i feel like i want to call queensland police cause these people are fraudsters. How do you stop them grrrr.

Go to http://www.iview.com.au/contact_us.htm, get their fax number and using online free faxing, send them 50 blank pages every time they call you. Do this after hours when there is nobody in the office. When they take their fax machine, we'll be in their car park looking after the paint and tyres of their vehicles. They are pests.

This mob calls then hangs up leaving a missed call showing.  If you call them back you get a recording saying they are a marketing company and if you wish to be removed from their list to leave your name and phone number. DON'T DO THIS unless you want them to have your details.
This bunch of scumbags reckon they're complying with the Do Not Call register, probably because they hang up without saying anything and then you are calling them.  Sneaky [***]...

Similar experience to others regarding this mob. People should be making a formal complaint about them to the Australian Communications Media Authority. I would not be leaving my number on their voicemail; this is a ruse to confirm your details and get more info about you. Complain formally and officially and let the authorities sort them out.

It is people like you all who give market RESEARCH a bad name. it is NOT telemarketing that is trying to SELL you things like all you paranoid people think. Market research only do surveys and if you actually answered the phone and told the interviewer you DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE they will file your number as a refusal AND NEVER CALL YOU AGAIN!!! I find it SOoooooooooooo funny you all search the net about scams and whinge and complain about petty things when in fact majority of research MARKET RESEARCH companies do are for business/government ect that are to HELP YOU .and actually give you the option to tell us what YOU THINK!!!! As for the do not call register this is to stop TELEMARKETERS calling you NOT Marekt Research and considering companies like I-View, Roy Morgan, Colmar Brunton are commisioned by the goverment to conduct research at various levels from local government all the way to federal studies (such as studies on enviornmental issues, transport, water saving etc) why would they stop gaining all your OPINIONS by putting these companies on the do not call register... think about it, you are given the chance to have a say on matters but instead you are on the net whinging about real companies calling you and saying your going to go to the government about them.... get a clue! oh and do some research!!

As for saying this number is a scam.. they are actually doing the right thing by asking you to leave your phone number so they can file you as a refusal for that project... think about it.. they ALREADY have your phone number as they called you! Giving it to them again so they can figure out who called and wanted to be removed cant possibly give them any more information about you.

Have received two research/survey calls in the past few days and now have the same number 039940 7777 on my mobile. My home phone is a private number. I just googled the 03 9940 7777 and it comes up with 'Salomon Smith Barney Australia'.
