They claim to be Golden Globe Holidays at Hoppers Crossing Melbourne?

SCAM SCAM SCAM. BEWARE*. I have had Golden Globe Holidays of 9 Marion Walk Hoppers Crossing ring me not once, not twice but four times now. They are persistent and always want your credit card number, except they call it a reference number and then the expiry date. They will NOT take a direct blatant NO for an answer. They explained that the 16 digit number is just a number that is code for; which bank your card is with, your suburb, and the postcode... nothing else. They say they can't use your credit card for transactions and that it is just for their record. I once managed to get one of the callers to give me a credit card number on the promise that he would then get mine. He was a bit annoyed when I broke my solemn promise. The next time this bunch of theives* rang I quoted that credit card number back to them. It was funny to hear the reaction when after further quizzing, I finally told them one of their own had given it to me the week before. My advice to anyone is learn that this type of cold calling where they want your credit card reference number is going to be a scam. "It seems to good to be true then it probably is". BTW just looking at the satelite photo in Google Maps shows that address is a normal house in the suburbs.   *IMO

I have just had a call from Golden Globe Holidays who were offering me a free $1000 holiday discount voucher, be very carefull as all they want you to do is join there holiday club, they are quite clever and will ask you in lots of round about ways for your credit card details. This sound like a scam and from what i have read on the internet it is a scam. My advise is to hang up as soon as you hear the words Golden Globe Holidays.

They are very persistent in wanting your credit card number and expiry date this evening.  They even want the CSV number at the back of my credit card.  Once they asked me for that 3 digit code, I suspected something must be wrong.  The 3 digit code is privy to only the card holder.  Access to the 3 digit code means that they can do any purchases on the internet and charge them to the card.  They identify themselves as Golden Globe Holidays giving out discount travel vouchers that you can save thousands and the vouchers are transferable to anyone.
While they sday that there are no monthly fees payable, why do they need all my credut card details?  If they are true, just sent the vouchers over end of story.

I hope MasterCard picks up on this crowd - Golden Globe Holidays of 9 Marion Walk Hoppers Crossing Victoria Melbourne 3029.  Just in case they decide to use my credit card details to charge me for whatever transaction and for whatever amount without knowing my CSV number at the back of the card today.  They called me today (14April2011) at about 5pm NZ time.  I just hang up after I refused to give them the CSV number and since then they had been very persistent ringing me up at least 6 or 7 times throughout the evening.

I took a call from an Indian by the name of Mike at tea time on April 7.  As I had had dealings with Indians of Affordable Holidays in Maroochydore in May, I was alert to their methods.  I told him that I had purchased holiday vouchers last time they called (not true) and that I had not used any yet!  He tried to persist but I held my line.  That silenced him and he hung up

I came home at 8pm to find my 20 yr old speaking to an Indian going by the name Austin of this no. and address.   We are alert to these cold calls, having had dealings with Affordable Holidays Maroochydore in May.  My son was on the internet at the time and looked up Golden Globe Holidays.  He told Austin that it is a scam.  The response was that yes, scammers had been using their company name but this call is genuine.  A misunderstanding arose when my son started talking to me so the call was continued by the (Indian) manager, Raymond Hill.  He was asked for the 3 digits on rear of debit card first.  My son read out the card no. (the card was a BLOCKED one!).  He was then told the vouchers are $299 (they do not say A$).  My son protested that he had not been informed of a charge before giving the card details.

Just got a call from these scammers, too.  When I asked them what would happen if I were to ring the police to check their authenticity there was a silence and then the woman said, 'I can give you my number and you can check that if you want...'  We live in Taranaki NZ and get at least one call like this per day!  So frustrating

They are damn persistent. Gave them false card number then got ph call from "Peter" in dispatch our vouchers were ready to go but wanted to reconfirm card details. told him  dont have a card and he tried to inform me I will be in trouble with police for giving out false details.told him to f off. hopefully they have given up on us. If you get a call from these people end it as quick as possible. they will ring back 5 -10 times tell them you are bankrupt and arent allowed a card

l live in UK l got a call from GoldenGlobe "validation" telling me that 6 weeks ago l had agreed to to buy £1000 worth of vouchers quoting the last 4 digits of my card & quoting my address and telephone number -obviously they needed the validation number as they said l had agreed to pay £299 for the privelage! After 10 minutes of gabble she said as all had been repared 6 weeks ago if l wanted to wthdraw then l would owe £600 !l asked address & telephone number 29 Harley St london WIG 9QR address genuine but no Golen Globe l suspect the telephone nmber was Irish as l had difficulty tracing it to when l rang a Mr Gibson with mid-atlantic drawl kept me for another 10 minutes recieved e-mail this am after tellinghim that if he attempted to withdraw money see him in court.l a not at all certain where they got my details from but a new card is indicatedl feel

yeah just got the phone with those muppets,[***] thought he was clever til i told him that police were tracing his call,if it sounds to good to be true,thats cos it is,dont give them [***]

Last week I was about to listen to the 4pm news when a call came from Jack.  He said the package has been sent but he wanted to check details: name, address, credit card.  He was insistent about the latter, asking if the 05/13 expiry is correct!  I said my son had arranged everything with Austin and would view the package before making any decisions, lol.  He asked for my son's mobile no. or another no. he could be contacted on.  My mind is in dread of what having that information could lead to!

I got a call offering me $1000.00 free holiday.
They asked me for my credit card number , and when I asked why they got quite irate.
They never even mentioned anything about a fee.
I told them to go scam someone else

Yesterday just before 4pm I was phoned by Michael, an Indian.  Some holiday vouchers were ready for mailing to me - the name and address were correct.  He wanted me to know the "reference number" (see earlier comment of Paul in Tasmania)  He handed me to his manager, Alex, another Indian.  These vouchers are complimentary, worth $1,000, "valid for lifetime".  Do you have VISA or Mastercard?  "You have VISA, what is the expiry date?'
That's as far as he got this time - time for the 4pm news.

Yep, same old! Melbourne Golden Globe. Give you all address and details etc of company rego. Thought I would listen just for fun. James...Indian, has address, wont say where he got it from. Asked for date of birth and wouldn't say why he needed this. Alarm bells and smile on my face. Gave him false DOB. THen onto the Manager (Indian) and do you have a Visa or Mastercard! neither! SHock...horror...which one do you have?? Neither!   Then I hung up!  If he calls back, he may wish he didn't!! I hate these people.

I had a call at 18:35 from an an Indian telling me I had won $1000 holiday package plus discounted holidays for life. He confirmed my address details to send the package he then asked for my date of birth to confirm I was over 18 and under 99 I told him I was over 18 but I was not giving me my DOB he then passed me on to Austin who then asked me for my credit card type expiry date and the number to confirm I was a real person I told him to look in the electrol roll which would confirm this.
Austin then asked for my credit card number which I told him he was not going to get he then mentioned something about the Australian Governement required that confirmation. I told him that if it was anything to do with the Australian Government he would not be asking for this information. I refused to give any details the line went dead. This is a Scam....

Like all the above comments the same happened to us.  The phoned twice, I answered once and my wife the other time.  I don't know in what order.  
I was offered a package of travell vouchers.  Apparently free so I gave them my address and was then asked if I had a credit card.  When I was asked for the numbers and expiry date I refused but unfortunatly when the asked my wife she gave the numbers and agreed to pay $220.00.  A package on 12 vouchers arrived with a Platinum membership card and an acompaning letter saying the cards would expire in 18 months.
For more information and booking details there was a webb site address.  
Nowhere was there any indication of what the cards were worth.
Our credit card was debited $690-75 NZ.  
I rang the Phone number  and asked how much were the 12 vochers wre worth?  I wasn't given an answer instead I was subjected to a series of irrelevant quetions.
I contacted the credit card complaints section and was advised to return everything they had sent us.

I posted the lot back to the adress given to me and 2 weeks later NZ post told me the address was non existant and the package could not be delivered.

I had the same call a couple of weeks ago. I didnt share any important personal information. When i heard he had an indian accent, i told him i was indian aswell.He told me his name was Aaron Michaels. He then started flirting with me, asking how I look etc etc. A couple of days later, i got a friend request from a guy named Arun Bhaskar, with a message saying that he had called me from Golden Globe holidays earlier, and he found me using my email address that i had provided. He said that he found me pretty and wanted to get to know me. So i added him just to see where he was from....India! NOT AUSTRALIA! I deleted him straight after that. He tried calling me once after that, just "to chat", i was rude n he hasn't tried calling me again....yet!

i was scammed to by golden globe hoildays, they rang at tea time and wasnt really listing and gave my information, dont let these people scam you.
