no idea what this is about.

Yes. Got this, too, on May 23, 2010 at 17:05:34.
I have new, but basic, non-camera phone.

I'm on Optus network. Went into Optus shop. Guy had no idea.
He rang up customer service. They had no idea. Number 'not associated' with Optus network.
C/s person suggested I call the 'Do Not Call register' number. =?????!!!!!
At this point, in frustration, I hung up and left the Optus shop.

I got an from this number except the caller came up as: OPTUS and it said "Your data number is .... this will be on your account and billing Rgds Optus."

Phoned Optus asked them what is this about - spoke to 4 people no one could give me an answer!! Apparently the data number they sent me was registered under another persons name  - and they gave me that name - awesome client confidentiality OPTUS.....

Apparenlty my issue has been progressed to the technical team apparently and I will hear back within 48 hours...

I asked to lodge a complaint about how I wasn't getting an answer - apparently there is no complaint department for OPTUS. .....lol what a joke
