SMS received

What did it say?  Was it something to do with received documents from Taylor?

I also received an SMS, presumedly from Optus with the exact wording above. Optus knows nothing about it.

I got a message from this same number but stating it was from Integral Energy.

"Please contact Integral Energy on 131 002 and quote ref no: 12045688 during business hrs 8:00am to 5:00pm Mon-Fri. Please do not reply to this SMS. Thank you."

I assume it is a scam as they are a NSW based company and I live in WA

I got a text from this number saying

"the pre-vacation inspection for your service residence is scheduled for 15-10-2012 at 9:00am. and enquiries please ring DHA on 139 342"

dha is defense housing australia and the number at the end is for them on a google search. but i don't live in defense housing, have nothing to do with the defense force. very random.

I get messages from this number with regards to Avon Calling.

I just got a message from this number that said something about replying Yes if I wanted a shift at Visy Wingfield, which appears to be a recycling company in South Australia (I am in Canberra). Very weird. I am guessing from the other posts that this is a total scam. I might alert Visy Wingfield.

Got an SMS saying QBE insurance policy up for renewal and I have no such policies with QBE

I looked up Optus and it said to text this number to cancel voicemail. Then moments later I got a message:
Optus MSG: Please reply with your address in the format: Street #, Name, Suburb, State, P/code. We will action in 2 business days and then confirm via SMS
I didn't respond because it seemed very shifty!

i got a message with MY name written on it (how did they know??)
and it said that i had to call the department of foreign affairs and trade in sydney
they full gave me a reference number as well .... how shifty!

I got a SMS from the number, and it was sent from Department of Transport and Main Roads (QLD) - in regards to my learners logbook that I had submitted.

It seems this number maybe owned by some "enterprise mass sms" company, that companies use to contact their customers.

Got message from this number and when returning call Optus advised that this number suddenly disconnected. Spam, Hackers making nuisance calls.

Got a message from this number that mentioned 'Your Vehicle is now 14 days overdue for collection. If you do not intend to collect and would like to save further impound fees please contact VIU on 93732440 ASAP'

Got a message from this number telling me to call DFAT office in Perth but I live in NSW. Had a reference number and my full name in the message as well. Seemed shifty so I didn't respond.

I just got a message saying to call 1300 281 408 and quote a number.

I was thinking maybe its a collection agency?
They have my name... but I don't owe anything, to my knowledge. Hmm

Number is obviously a call centre - I have received legitimate texts on behalf of both Brisbane City Council and Optus from this same number. They employ at least one rude person that seems to have Asperges Syndrome.

Seems like some sort of SMS service number. I got legit SMS's from this number for both UNSW library notices and my super fund online account password recovery (which I requested).

MRS KAUR FINAL REMINDER: anaesthetic account $1036.40 due to our Footscray office by 4pm tomorrow (2/4/15) - failure to pay will result in default lodgement in melbourne magistrate court plus costs 83456639

Got two msgs from this number, but I have no idea about this payment request. And I am not "Mrs Kaur" from Melboure, I am living in NSW!
I think it is a smishing .

I got a message today from this number saying please call Fidan at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Sydney on 0292076809

Same here, but they asked me to call Hobart office with a 03 xxxxx phone number. Also, they spelled my name incorrectly, last letter should be E not A. Gotta report this number to police.
