I have received two texts from "Luke", one from 0421269812 and one from 0421269829.  The text messages are strange and clearly not intended for me.  One was about whether customer service centres would be open on an upcoming holiday and another was about a trade supply order that had been collected.  Looking at other messages on this board that start with "04212698" I can only assume it is some sort of scam.  I won't be replying!  It's very annoying, especially since the second message came early in the morning.  If I get any more messages I will be putting in a complaint through formal processes.

Has anyone else received these messages?

I got message from 0421 269 827. telling me my phone had won 550,000 pounds in the ongoing BT-TELECOMS int'l phone no. draw in UK To claim in UK, email: btcommsuk@live.co.uk/+447045788673

I also received this message from the same number about winning $$pounds. Are you with Telstra perchance?

I received a strange message from this number also. The thing is I haven't even activated my fone yet. It is a Samsung Galaxy SII so it has internet access when I turn it on and am near my wifi. However I haven't activated the fone with my mobile service provider. So it makes me laugh that I can receive such a message, not only from a number that I have never sent a message to. But on a mobile number I haven't event activated yet. God help me how many of these B*llshit scam sms's I will get once I do.

...I have never had an appointment and I have never heard of  St Vincents clinics!

I have received 2 texts from 0421269812. One saying that my Working with Children card has been processed and one to remind me to someone is coming to install something in my house on a certain date. I am confused because both texts are accurate but I cannot see how the texts can come from the same number if the organisations aren't linked...

Got  text from this number today. Saying that it is from Employmeny Plus! They can assist me with clothing , equipment or transport costs to start work.

Rip-off merchant. Tried to scam me for a Western Union payment to cover costs before a vehicle could be shipped.

This number just sent a message saying I'm working tomorrow. Weird.
