Does anybody know who this is?!  I have had two calls from this number and no message left.

Looks like 0441616567957 is doing the rounds today. I just had a hang up when I answered. It's probably another of those marketing companies that call to check what time is best to harass you.

3 hours ago I had a phone call from that number and the guy on the phone claimed to be from Talk Talk. He asked for confirmation of the postcode, landline number and the DOB. I did not want to give my DOB and he hung up.

I wish to report a nuisance phone call I received today. The caller had just hang up when I answered. The number  is 0441616567957.

I went to my providers website and they had the following information, I don't know if this is available for all providers but something similar may exist. Hope this helps.

Tracing the call
Before you escalate a call to the Police for investigation, you are required to trace it. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Dial 1477 during or immediately after the unwanted call. You need to do this on five separate calls. When you do this, we trace the call.
  2. Contact the Police let them know about the malicious call and that you have traced the call with ..

  3. The Police will contact <Phone service provider's> Police Liaison team.

R BTW who is your provider, iam with TalkTalk and we had this silent caller this past week!

I believe it is a talktalk number they have been pestering me numerous times recently, many calls with  held numbers. The 1477 no. is a useful tool, thanks.

Have had 3 calls from this number on 26th May.  I am with Talk Talk, it is possible its from them. On Wednesday i had a sales call, they needed to speak to hubby, but he does not get home till late. I
leave the answer phone to pick up calls now. I have difficulty walking, and it is a pain to answer the phone and no-one is there. I am not a spring chicken anymore.

Received a call this morning from Wayne Dukky allegedly from talktalk wanting to upgrade me?
My hackles went up when he told me that before he could say anymore I, yes I would have to answer some security questions! I refused and stated that I should be asking the security questions.
Who was he? (as above)
where was he phoning from?   South Africa
How did I know he was from TT?    Contact the Service team
At that I said that I would and hung up.
Does that answer any questions from the number?

I have been called a total of 4 times,(so far) twice with 044 prefix and twice without.
I am xdirectory and I have all the other bars in place.
Thanks to caller display I never answer.

It's not talk talk it is someone cl;aiming to be them i contacted talk talk after not answering the call gave them the number and time they said it wasn't on their records. It is someone trying to get information out of you so i wouldnt answer it. Thanks for the 1477 number i've logged it as malicious. Like talk said to me never give out your information if it was talk talk they woulldn't ask for your details or anything along those lines thats what ive been told. so this is a malicious call and tbh ive been getting numerous calls from weird numbers recently and i'm quite happy to say that kit is most likely the same malicious company so before you give any details out please e-mail talk talk first with time the call occured date and what happened it will be on their system if they have called you. Hope that helps :)

Received calls twice yesterday and today. Hung up , no conversation and I am with talktalk.

Phone rang couldn't be bothered to answer, did 1471 and got 0441616567957 did 1571 to retrieve messages but nowt left. Checked internet and this page came up with regards to the above mentioned number. Added it to my contact names under Do Not Ansa....! Also a customer with TalkTalk for over 2years and have never known this number before until today 6/6/11.

Went on to a phone number checker(Free)site and even they couldn't find the source of this number, some [***] doing his rounds to piss as many people off as possible?
