Definitely a scam. Calling saying I've been with Optus long enough to receive a free phone. Didn't know my name and wanted me to confirm name and address. Told them not interested and they ended up hanging up on me. Also fake Indian accent.

Total Scam Called saying he was from Optus and that I was entitled to a free phone. He did not have any of the details an Optus rep would have known. He ended up hanging up on me.

This number just called me claiming he was from optus and that i had been using this phone number long enough to receive a new phone. he asked how much i usually recharged with and i told him i was on a plan, he then asked me when does it run out and i replied in a year. he then hung up on me

Had a missed call from the nominated number, called back to hear this auto message "please enter the phone number and press the pound key"

Dodgy and as the above users said probably a scam

Answered a call from this number. A male (couldn't catch the name) said he was from "RealSim" operating on the Optus network and, like others above, that I'd been using my number long enough to qualify for huge discounts the next time I topped up. Dodgy as.
