Just had a call from this number, I think selling computer insurance.  Person very abusive and personal. I told her I was hard of hearing and she said you are not just deaf you are dumb as well and slammed the phone down.

I have had two calls over the last two days;  the first time no-one spoke but the second time the caller knew my name.   I asked who was calling and he said Peter and wanted to talk about the computer.   So I said I'd get Mrs C..... and left the receiver off for five minutes.   Hopefully 'Peter' won't call back.

who is behind this call? this chap called adam has called a couple of times and wanted me to log on so he could show me that i've down loaded a virus! mm..... told him no chance and when asked he told me he had got my name from a web-link? anyone know anything about this company - if they are a company??!!!

I've had lots of silent calls from this number so if anyone has information on them I'd be most grateful.

Hi, I just had a call from this number with a very similar approach to the Microsoft phone scam running out of India - see Guardian article here http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jul/18/phone-scam-india-call-centres.  They must keep changing the numbers but it's unnerving because I've been rejigging some of the settings on my laptop in the last 3 days and at 1st I thought it was something to do with that.  I challenged the guy on the line (with his obviously Indian accent - dead giveaway) and he backed down 2nd time around.
Please report any numbers that these calls come from - they so easily take people in.  Thanks

Just had a call from this number, 0614084448, got me to go the computer etc, I then became rather unhelpful and he became rather rude and abusive. I asked him to wait for a minute while I booted the computer up, I just left the phone on the desk for 10 minutes and he had hung up. Oh well, I hate these scammers.
