I was called on this number by someone from PC Masters telling me there was an error with my computer software.  They wanted me to turn on my computer and I am guessing, would have asked for access to it.  Being suspicious, I questioned them further, and they put the phone down.  I Googled PC Masters and see there is a scam, whereby they try to get access to your computer.  Beware.

Called me up this morning (Saturday, G'rrrrrrrrrr)

Young polish girl said her name was Bella, (doubt it!) said she was calling on behalf of 'Microsoft Server' and was based in Luton.
I asked her was she sure that the company she worked for was Microsoft Server and she replied "yes of course!" So I asked her were was the Company 'Microsoft Server' based she answered Luton, (I laughed) I mentioned that I knew Luton very well and could she give me the address of the company,,,,She hung up.

5 mins later what sounded like a Pakistani man with an Italian name (True!) told me that he was a senior supervisor and that he worked for Microsoft Server, I told him that Microsoft server was a product and not a company he then said that he worked for Microsoft specializing in servers workstation and windows systems and that my computer had been having crashes and sending them reports.
I asked him where was the companies address he tried to give me a P.O number, I told him that Microsoft does not hide behind P.O numbers and that he was a fraud,,,,,he thought on this and then said that his company was called PC Masters and was based at 6 Leagrave Road, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU3 9DU
He told me he had had my name and address and gave them to me then said coldly  'HOW WOULD I KNOW THESE IF I DID'NT WORK FOR MICROSOFT' I retorted that peoples information can be picked up very easily off the internet, he then asked for me to give him details at which point still being  totally dissatisfied with his ruse hung up!

This is a clever scam but Microsoft do not cold call, they may send you updates via pc if your computer needs them and they will certainly not ask you for any personal details from a call they instigate unless you have a pre-arranged account setup with them for this service.
This company is nothing more than 2nd rate phishing outfit looking at ways at duping those with little or no internet security savvie but there day's are numbered, hope they like prison food.

Calling from Microsoft - based in Luton - with London phone number.
Firstly Microsoft are based in Reading largely, secondly they don't call out joe bloggs consumer like me!

He told me my IP, phone number, address etc to convince me they must be microsoft - I explained I couldget the information just as easily about a stranger.

He wanted to take me through my pc set up etc and find all the major faults which he told me I was experiencing.

I told him I'd check out his credentials first - reg co is 06996061 and gave me phone number 0208 1445602

I wonder if he'll call beck in 5 mins like he said he would!
