I get the same mystery call.

When I called back I get a few rings and then get a recorded Telstra message saying the number is dis-connected ! Obviously a fake message.

I got a call from thus number claiming to be PCYC raffle fundraising. I called the number back and got a PCYC voicemail. The caller told me they only do tele sales and you can't buy on the net, which seemed dodgy.... Any thoughts??

Didn't pick up this time! I have had calls from the pcyc before. Once they get hold of you, they don't give up easily!

Someone just called me from this number as well, I didn't answer as recently keep receiving weird calls at around 5 to 6pm.

I had a call also from this number. I got some details and then searched "art union pcyc"  on Google to verify what the young man said. From my own research, the art union licence number and 1300 number that he gave me was legitimate. My search lead me to the following sites for this raffle drawn the 18.04.2013.

The young man who rang me was called Benjamin Bowes. He willing gave me his Job ID number 9384 which I was able to verify by calling the 1300 number. He's definitely an agent for the PCYC QLD art union raffle.

Hope this is of help to others. Sadly, one can never be quite sure these days.

Its a scam, we get them calling twice a week. these scum have been doing it for over 10 years that I know of (when they bit me the first and only time).

Why they just cant get shut down I dont know.

Hi just had them call... said they were from PCYC, asked if I was over 18. When I said yes they hung up

I am here in australia for just 2 months and I have received this calling as well but I could not understand anything was said. I am concerned about that, what should I do ?

I just received a call from this number. I answered and said hello a few times and who ever it was just listened and hanged up.
I find calling, not saying anything, and then hanging up so bizarre. What is the purpose of the call then? In the background it sounded like a tv going as if it was a person calling from their own house not a company.

Also got a call from that number, I said hello, silence for a while, than they hung up.

Same thing happened to me idk who it is they asked for my age and then hung up?

Received call today,yesterday & the day before when I pick up recorded voice says I'm sorry there is noone to take your call at the moment then disconnects

Got several calls over the past weeks. 08 64541074...directed to 1300 265 162. Asked about how such a raffle works given there are no tickets. She said "computer picked" I asked what the "cap"  ticket number was & she said there is none. I asked if a million numbers sold, does the first prize of $20k go up..."don't know" was the answer.She said that they had had 10 previous draws over several years...asked how long each "raffle" goes...no timeline. Love to help worthy causes & had asked for some books to sell some for them but not how it works. Asked a Tony Marciano if it was sanctioned by Lotteries Commission & was told that Liquor & Gaming know about it...Quacks like a Duck.....

I get calls from this number at least twice a day every day for the last 4 months, phone always stops ringing just before the answering machine cuts in.  I'm seriously thinking about changing my number.

Yep, same here our number is silent. We never answer and always let it go to the machine. Thinking about disconnecting the phone now. Someone is obviously just adding to their stats of daily call attempts!

The number is used by Insight Call Centre Services. They do fundraising for various charities - I have had both RSPCA and PCYC call on this number over several years. (I assume the fundraising contracts come and go.)

There is nothing more annoying than answering the phone only to be told 'there is noone available to take your call, please call again later", as happened this evening. WTF - you interrupted me to have a recording tell me that?!

I called the number back and another recording gave a customer service line no. as 1300 882 075. That line was answered by a human, whom was able to action my request to be placed on the 'do not call' list.
