Same for me but on Saturday and same message when calling back

Except one weird thing, they left a small grunt or huff in a 1 or 2 second message the second time they rang (11-10-08).

I now know this is a real person.

They rang and knew my first and last name when my son answered. I called back but there was an electronic message saying that I could not leave a message

this number has called 3 times now in 24hrs and leaving no message,i want to know who it is as its pissing me off

it has rang four times and didnt leave a message.
When I ring back I get a machine, one time with a huff as well

ive been getting this number callin me the last few days. my um told me not 2 answer it or return calls as it alsp happened 2 her once and it took her credit.

This number called me about 4 or 5 times over the weekend. My partner answered and they asked for me by name, and he said to call back later. When they called the next day (sunday) they were asking me about mobile wireless internet and said they just wanted to do a survey not try to sell me anything. I told them I was busy and they said it's just a few questions but I said no. Now I just let it ring.

I have had several missed calls from this number.
Three times within the last three days.
I was able to answer one of them and as soon as I answered they hung up.
I rang back and a recorded message said:
You call cannot be answered and you cannot leave a message try again later.

same as above. i dont answer the calls anymore.  just let them go to vm. they never leave a msg

This number first rang my home number (silent number) late afternoon, followed immediately by my mobile (unpublished number) earlier this week. Then again tonight, on my mobile. I recognised the number immediately and picked up but didn't speak. There was a man on the other end saying "hello". He eventually hung up when I didn't respond. I rang back a few minutes later, only to be told that my call could not be answered and I could not leave a message.

I have taken this matter to the ombudsman for follow up, having seen this site.

Had this number call 2 x so far. The first time asked to speak to my wife by name. When questioned caller replied "my name is Grace" calling from some financial company on behalf of optus wanting to do a survey on people who buy their phones through optus. I am now just hanging up. Consodering that the number they are calling is my mobile not my wifes and it is regeistered on the do not call list. Where do these companies get off. very annoyed!

It's Optus doing a survey on mobile phone insurance. They're trying to improve their plans so more will take it up.
I took the survey and it only took five minutes. Their plans sound like a complete rip-off so I don't mind helping them out by letting them know that.
They aren't selling anything though.

rang my home number asked for myself or my husband then said they were from something imaging and could they have my mobile number my elderly aunt gave then the mobile they rang me but not message and no returning facility for call

Always getting a phone call from this number no message left. Received an email the other day to say that with effect from 1/4/09 all mobile phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sale calls.YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS

It's Optus doing a survey - this month it's on Wireless broadband.

You guys don't happen to be with iiNet do you? possibly Optus trying to win iiNet customers over by trying to go through all iiNet's number ranges..
