I received a SMS this morning
"CONGRATULATIONS! Your sim has been selected as the winner of R250,000.00 from NOKIA EQUITY 2011 PROMO. Ref no: NKP44. For claim call department 0735032769

I also received an sms from 0735564028 saying i have won 250 000.00 from NOKIA EQUITY 2011 PROMO is this a scam?

I just got  an sms aswell dat claims my sim card has been selected as the winner of 250 000 from Nokia Equity 2011 Promo.ref no NKP44.

I received the exact same sms....rediculous...seems everyone who receives it is given the same Ref no NKP44. I called and was told to buy R 400 Telcom pre paid then call back to make payment arrangements....yea right ...they are scaming for Free Air Time ...
DO NOT REPLY TO THEIR FAKE SMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nokia scam - exactly same mess received but i told them to "pi.. off" hope the message come through loud and clear

Received the same sms this morning at 1:45.  It is a scam, gave them a piece of my mind!!

I also got it and i phone the number the same as your and the guy by the name of Mr robinson he said I must buy airtime of R180 and not load it in my sim card and phone him back and he was so defence they say the company is in cape town

I Received a sms on Saturday: Congratulations your mobile no was selected amoung the Lucky winner or R135000 in NOKIA EQUITY PROM Winning ticket No: NK11P. Call Jason for your cash prize on 0737608873, Where is this coming from please Nokia sort this out.

The sms came from a different number : 0833461058

same sms with ref no: nkp44

i recieved a call from Mt Jason who sad i win R135 000 and i must pay R1500 in to transfer my money from the UK after that i must deposit R2500 in for the insurance. i want to know is this a scam or what please reply to me as a matter of urgency

Same scam but different number +27782788377.  He couldn't supply me with a head office number or and official website.  I hope nobody is naive enough to fall for this.

WHY DOES NOKIA NOT DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS??? Can you not trace the number and arrest these people

i have received the same sms, also with Refr NKP44. I had to callRaymond on 0733616316

The wife also got an sms, your sim has been selected as the winner of R250,000.00 from Nokia Equity 2011.Ref No. NKP44. Call Raymond on 0733616316 for activation.

Advised the wife that this was a scam, I called Raymond from work, he answered saying that this was Nokia ,and then asked if i could call back in 10 minutes as he had to check on my reference number (NKP44 ). This is a scam dont get fooled.

Also received an sms on 12 June telling  me I had won R250 000 but the number to call was 0733616316

Got the following msg...Your sim has been selected as the Winner of R250,000 from  NOKIA EQUITY 2011.  Ref No NKP44.  call  Raymond on 0733616316. For Activation.
No doubt its a scam

Got tha same message, called the police, they say its a scam dont fall for it.  Call the nokia service if you have any question - 0861166542

Any messages about a NOKIA Equity Program is a SCAM.  Call the Nokia Customer Care 0861166542, and report the incident.  They have NO PROMOTIONS GOING ON.  Do NOT give out your adress and your bank account numers!
