I think it's Oxfam trying to get you to donate

I called the number back and it's a recorded message saying it's from a charity I may have supported in the past but also says they make calls to see if you'd like to donate. They've called me every day for a week now. Sometimes twice a day.

Annoying and should be illegal if it isn't already.

I have received heaps of calls from this number (0736060800) even though I am on the Australian National Do Not Call Register. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. I  called my service provider (VFone) who unfortunately was not able to block this no. so I have just stored this no. and every time it calls I then just hang up.

I have received 4 calls in the last two months... I don't answer as I am overseas and the fees to answer would be too costly to find out this is a dodgy thing. Thanks for putting this on here otherwise I might have given in eventually.

I have had four calls from the 07 3606 0800 number in the last two days and each time they hang up the moment I answer.  Almost like someone is trying to figure out my name.

Receiving daily calls from this number (07 3606 0800) to my mobile around the same time each day (afternoon) - as I don't know who this caller is I refuse to pick-up.  If it's important and directed specifically to me, I would expect the caller to leave a message for me - but this is never the case.

I recommend to ignore these calls.

This number has been trying to call me for the last two weeks and calls twice a day, morning and afternoon. I haven't answered and as everyone else has said, if it was really important I'm sure they'd leave a message. Really annoying and down right rude.

I got three calls in the last two days, no voice messages left so obviously not directed for me, I just saved the number under "scam"

8 calls in 3 days including 4 calls in the last 3 hours - it is a contact centre for various charities WWF or Cancer Council.  Doesn't leave voice mails but will occassionally leave a "new message" which is just background noise.  If charities use these aggressive techniques, they will lose more than they get.  Getting more and more common.

I have also had calls from this number and then hang up when I answer. Today they rang again and new my name and said they were calling about cancer research. They said the call was recorded.  I told them I did not want top donate as I do already and they hung up

I got a new phone and i had never phoned anyone , about 1 hour after turning the phone on i got these calls

I am with Telstra Australia and i keep getting this number of  0736060800 that keeps calling me and not leaving any messages ( SO ENOYING ) WTF why can't they just leave an message or something , i tried to answer one day and they just hung up .

I've had calls from this number, nearly every day for the last week, on my mobile and my home phone.  I don't answer and no message is left.  Extremely annoying and too bad the number can't be blocked.

I've had several calls from this number in the last few days. Really unsociable hours too - post 630pm is just not acceptable!

I have received calls... Yes annoying. The main reason being that nobody understands the reason for the call... and with a lack a message left it seems they have no good reason. But who knows they may be just sparing us the real pain of informing us that we all may have just missed out on big prize (trip to Spain!, $10000!, New Car!) as part of some random competition.... Although this is obviously doubtful.

Received call at 4.30 pm today. Hung up as soon as I picked up.

I've had 3 phone calls from this number in the last hour! It's now 7:40pm so this is ridiculous. I'm not answering, and if it is a charity, they should be ashamed.

Losers keep calling
