I got the same message with the same instructions and I hung up!  Annie sounds very Nigerian to me!  And why was it coming from UK!!!!

I smelt the scam immediately and from what I have heard they are giving away a lot of R98000's.

Pity - could have done with the money!  Win some lose lots!

Received same scam, Saturday 19 Feb 2011 at about 01h54... Knew from the word go that this was scam and cared less about it... For starters, i hardly own anything from LG, and never entered any competition. Sorry scammers. Try someone else...

Got the LG message today (09/05/2011) from number 0783889393. Do you guys mean I didn't win R98 000. And here I thought someone wanted to give me something for nothing. ;-)

she uses 2new numbers now 0719775137 and 0785724984

What a hoax and I wish people like this were traced, and arrested for fraud!!

I received a sms to call cell # 0710288419 because i've won R98000.
I call her and she explained that i must buy 2 Telkom vouchers.
Gave me the same address as all the rest of the people.
Explained it's a promotion from LG London UK.

Plse catch these people!!!

I also received sms 27/02/2013 at 09.37 that I won R98000 on LG promo.  Never had an LG. Phoned and had to by 2 x R200 Telkom prepaid vouchers.  Realized something is not right.  Found out to be true.  Thanks to all who shared. Thought is was too good to be true.  Sorry to the scammer. One less.
