this is its number keeps ringing asking if im home owner i say no then thay hang up and ring back evry hour

This number keeps ringing every hour, when answer they hang up

I keep getting calls from this number in Queensland, I'm in WA so I don't answer nor did I recognise the number. So i thought I would Google it and I found this site.

I have received a few calls from this number and they wait until I answer and then hang up?

I also get very regular calls from this number - but there appears to be noone on the other end.

I have just started getting phone calls from this number as well everytime I answer there is no one on the other end. Does anyone know who it is

They keep calling and just breathing into the other end of the phone, and then they hang up...

Someone keeps ringing me from this number and sometimes they leave a message and I cannot make out the name of the business. "Aussie something"?? If they don't stop I will be seeking legal action for harrassment

The number only looks like it is from Qld. It's from Ashtar in India. They use an auto dialler and they will only talk if they are not already talking to someone who answered. They will tell you there is something wrong with your operating system and direct you to a web site. There you can download some nasty useless Malware ridden software for prices depending on how gullible they think you are... no harm answering and if you are lucky and they talk, just string them along.

Have same problem as everyone here, but also from other phone #s 08 82439289 and 03 81993485 plus, they are Scammers or Telemarketers. numbers are on automatic redial as someone else has mentioned, rang Telstra, they can block up to 15 of the numbers - it works, but now been getting a few on my mobile, how they got my number???? but found out I can block them on your mobile aswell..

If you can see who it "could be" just ignore the call, it won't stop those bullies, as, as far as I am concerned it is a form of Bullinging!!!   but at least you making there call useless. Don't give them Control over you!!!

Have gotten in total, 7 calls from this number.

They all asked, as per the first person (markos) about being a home owner. I said no. They hang up. Call back again in a few hours.

After the 4th call, I said that I'd gotten a call from that number several times already and was not interested. They said "fine fine, we remove you".

Yeah, so much for removing me if they called another 3 times aye?

Always hear some silence as soon as you pick up, once you say a word or two then they will talk. Meh.

I've resorted to the tactic that when they call, I will hangup automatically on seeing that number. No point answering.

I am getting the same call as the original post, sometimes 7-8 times a day during my working hours which is really disruptive. Just the whole situation with the telemarketers new software (see the 'shotgun' approach in original post) is outright disrespectful harassment and should be illegal.

I am in Melbourne, and I believe that they have got my number from a previous service I had with Telstra pre-paid mobile...
Obviously I hadn't read the fine print because after switching providers away from Telstra and transferring my phone number with me, Telstra must have then 'sold' my name, phone number and address on the internet, as it pops up with a simple google search. VERY SCARY!

Now that I'm on post-paid I can't do much until my contract expires, but I will be getting a new number for sure.

LET THIS BE A LESSON!! DON'T TAKE YOUR NUMBER WITH YOU IF YOU LEAVE A TELSTRA MOBILE SERVICE!!

Yes I got the same call - didn't answer  (and from what I gather off this site, I'm glad I didn't) - they didn't leave a message which usually means they are that interested in getting in contact with you.

I have had weeks of nuisance caller on this number- no one is there- who can do something about it?
