incoming call on this no but is silent when you answer

My 7 year old daughter answered the phone.  Said she thought the lady said her name was Sonya.  Had hung up when I got to the phone and when calling back Telstra says "Check the number before dialling again".

I missed the call and just called it back..... same thing as Annette... "check the number and try again" i also got a private number call maybe 10 minutes before that so they may be related???

I ALSO GET A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER QUITE OFTEN!!! And I ring back and get the dial tone as if someone has hanged up on me! SO ANNOYING!

Have had two calls from 07 56579100, the first one they got my daughter, said she was a flight attendant and asked if mum or dad were home, then hung up before my daughter finished responding. no name offered either.  When I tried to call back got telstra message to check my number before dialing again ... 30/7/09
6/8/09 got the call this morning 11.09am same number, they hung up as soon as hearing my voice.  Again I immediately tried to call back and got the same wrong number message as last time.  So what is , who is this???

Synically:  could be one of those air hostess accommodation places with ability of occupants to call out but not receive calls in?.  My hubby mentioned a party of air hostesses, at the hotel he works at earlier this year. If a bonding has occurred I would want to know. All a bit wierd.  Anyone with more detailed info about this number, can you call me on 0488 535777. Thanks

Thursday evening 1/9/2009 and noon 2/9/2009, same as above comments, when you answer - Jill speaking they hang up, when you redial recording of wrong number try again.

I'm in Byron Bay I get between 2 and 3 calls from this number a day!

I'm also in Northern NSW,and have had calls from this number for over a year.  I think it might be one of those companies that call to see which times you answer, and pass on that info to telemarketing companies. I'm going to try going on the do not call registry, but I'm not sure if that will help.

I received a call from this number today too but did not answer, when I called back it was check the number and try again telstra message.  WTF???  This [***] me.

Yes--I've had a few missed calls from this number and also live in the Byron Bay area. When I tried to call back I get the "call cannot be connected" message. Googled the number -- but can't find it.

Hi All, this number rung me again today and I answered it!  It is a company called eziflight? selling cheap airfares plus twinshare accommodation for $99 per person using virgin blue flights.  Hope this helps, still doesn't explain that you cant call them back but I guess thats telemarketers for you.

Getting this call from this number, pick up phone and no one there, then busy signal.Happens around mid day and there is no attempt to conceal the number as either private or unknown.  It is clearly mechanised.

Got a call from this stupid number today and now my phone is completely DEAD! Telstra have no idea what is wrong with my phone and that number when i try call it back from my mobile is "not correct". Anyone with any more info???!! HELP!

Have recieved a couple of phone calls from 0756579100, it's completely silent on the other end. Each time I've recieved a call from this number I have called it and it will ring, not always the same amount of times, then it will tell me that the number that I have called is disconnected...

Number is disconnected or unavailable come with a damaged equipment error message indicating that the owner of that number has line issues.

Have had a call from this number around 14:50 every day for the last week, they usually call three times. Unreal.

Here's a thought - maybe someone should try: 0756579100 1 or 2 or 3 and try and get a direct line and tell them to f*** off!

Got a call from this number yesterday 3 times then a number of calls from withheld .. no messages are left and when i did pick it up on 2 accounts they hung up on me ..
Tried calling 07-5657-9100 back and got an error ..
So does anyone know who or what this is .. or is it just a scam

I missed calls from this number a couple of times. And today at 9:51 am, the phone rang and it was this number. I heard a man coughing and said 'Hello'. Prior to this, I kinda know it's not someone I know, so I spoke in a 'ghost' voice before he hung up.

Don't know who and if they ring again, I'm just gonna be silent and hang up :p

same sh&^% happen . once i say "hello" just hang up.

hope this is computer bot dialing up all the numbers with all the combinations and once its heard "hello" its register your number as working number and the the time you answerd .
so this will helpful for telemarketing companies call you back.
