I received a sms message from this number today and it was TV licence sending me a reminder.

Received a sms from this number this afternoon and it was TV Licence just sending me a reminder.

This number sent me sms telling me that my TV License payment is overdue then I responded that I made payment that same yesterday evening but it sent me another text asking me to text YES so that the payment would be completed. I want to be sure this text came from TV License

Received a text from them saying:-

Tv licence payment is overdue. To pay £ 5.60 using the debit/credit card you last used ending 2317 please text yes to authorise. Call 0300 555 0293.

As my licence is up to date and the so called last numbers aren't mines I knew this is a scam yet another to look out for grrrr

i dont think this is a scam as i too recieved a msg saying im overdue and i am over due as i signed into the website and paid online i also phoned tv licenceing up and they said it is not a scam :) so perhaps you are behind or the payment as not shown yet

This is a SCAM !!!!

I pay my TV license annually and it has 8 months left to go so how did I miss a payment. I've just called licensing and they state they wouldn't send a text anyway !!!!

I'm getting fed up with authorities that allow these muppets to annoy and scam those that don't know !!!

I keep recieving texts from this number saying my tv license is overdue, but i dont actually own a tv license, and no one else in my family had this number before me :@

I've had one of these every week for the last three weeks.  I've put down my details as contact details for various company licences before so I don't know if it's a scam or not, all I know is that my home licence is paid and I've left those companies so they can be cut off as far as I'm concerned.  If it is a scam can't believe the same number is being used after three years.

I have had a text today stating my TV licence is overdue by £6.00 and to reply yes to make payment they actually had my last 4 digits of my bank card. I called the number 03005550293 which it said to contact the man was very abrupt and just wanted me to make a payment , I stated my TV licence was up to date and I had not received a new payment plan, he said we don't send them out anymore I stated I will not pay until one is sent out !! he tried to say I should have paid £6 on the 18th September I said I will pay when a new payment plan comes through, he stuttered and didn't know what to say, his response was you will owe £12 by then, I replied yes and I will pay the twelve when the letter comes through post. I went online to check my TV licence account and there was the proof no money was owed !!! I instantly called my bank and cancelled my card and requested a new card to be sent out !

How did you phone TV Licencing up? There is no contact number on TV Licencing Website.

i get a message from this number every 2 wks to pay on card number they have got i send back yes and its took out of my bank ive done it this way for about 15yrs now and it is tv liense \nd genuine

They claim to be tv license lot do not answer this is a scam they tried a suspicious way to access bank account the bank picked it up straight away

Keep getting call from this number,  before as soon I pick up it use to hang up but now two days in row talking about  going to take action about my National insurance (automated)
