Although my contract is up in a few weeks, a quick search on the net shows the number to be the contact details for an "escort agency" in Colchester!!

07797 numbers are Jersey Telecom mobiles.

My phone is due for an upgrade but has been for some time, clearly this message isn't from my phone provider otherwise the text would come through with their name on it.

Sent a text trying to get me to look at a handbag website, addressed me by my first name.

I get text from this number all the time, from a compnay called Royalhouse inviting me to go and meet God. I have tried to get rid of them but they wont stop sending them to me. Anyone got any ideas what I can do, apart from change my number?

My Mum got this text this morning and asked me if it was a scamor something it read:

We both knew that she can upgrade her phone at anytime, and surely if it was from her provider it would come up with their name?

this is sort of my phone number i use a bulk sms sender on my pc and the number you can reply to me on is this one the only thing i can think of somone else using sms sender befofe me to send junk sms

just found out if you reply to this number STOP that will take you of the mailing list !

I received a text with this message:
"we tried to contact you regarding your T-Mobile account. Please call the upgrade team on 0207 288 6911 or text back "call". Thank you."

So might be worth keeping an eye out for that 0207 number as well

jus got the upgrade message, but i,m in an open contract period now. Has anyone tried replying to get the phone or cheque / What happened? did you get an extra charge to your phone bill ?

International call, charge money!

I got the same message as abbo saying i would get a £50 cheque. straight away i thought, this is a scam. at least i have a new number soon!

I got message 'Dear T-Mobile customer, we have tried contacting you... etc etc'.  I phoned and they pretended to be from T-Mobile trying to get me to take a package with them.  Only when I called T-Mobile did it become clear that it was a different company altogether.

misterious sms on 21/02/09 reporting Mr.Vincent Mbara who used to be working in our organisation until November 2008; to be engaging in maligning activities with a view to tarnish our good name of our organisation. We have however reported the matter to our local police authority for his possible arrest.

Just received a text saying 'Do you have credit card debt. Call 01792 717005 (nothing showing on here for that number) for a free 60 second test and discover if you can LEGALLY clear your debt without affecting you credit rating.
I'm going to call the number later and try and find out who they are and how the heck they got my number.
