We have had calls from Telegen and they claimed to be calling from AXA.  If you look at previous posts it is clear that they claim to be calling on behalf of a lot of companies.  At one time they pestered us on behalf of the RAC. About a month ago they called us on behalf of the Telegraph Group.  We have never had any dealings with AXA, the RAC or Telegraph Group. Perhaps we have just been unlucky.  A few pages back there is an interesting article from someone who has done research into this company and it looks like they are persistent offenders. We are about to write to AXA pointing out what a bad reputation they are getting by being involved with Telegen. I have just reported the calls to OFCOM - they have an online reporting facility. Perhaps if we all pestered OFCOM they would act against Telegen.

We had numerous calls from this number but they always rang off before we got to the phone.  Once we got there in time and, because we had checked on this website, we knew it was Telegen.  When they said they were ringing for the Telegraph Group, my husband said "are you really employed by Telegraph Group or are you from Telegen?".  The phone was put down immediately.  We have lodged a complaint with Telegraph Group.  Where on earth do they get our numbers from?  We are ex-directory and on TPS.

this is defo axa it rings me all the time but thanks to you guys i have taken my number off the mailing list, watch what u sign up for even a little tick in a box on one of these free gift websites or offers that pop up for a free wii or ps3 can pass ur number to all sorts of annoying people!

Had trouble with this caller for some time now and checked it on this site so I knew about Telegen. I contacted AXA and they admitted that it is Telegen working for them.  I pointed out that it is giving them a bad reputation.  I have tried to get my number off Telegen's list but the calls don't stop. I have never gone for any freebies or competitions so I don't know where they got my number from.  I'm on TPS and ex-directory. Now I will complain to OFCOM. Let's see if they can stop Telegen

I've had calls from this number every day for at least the past week, at least once a day. They ask to speak to another member of the household (who is at work whenever they call).

Is it basically just a scammer company? Someone pretending to be from AXA? Does anyone know what they actually want?

omg this number has been driving me crazy! Phoned me everyday for 10 days, sometimes more than once a day, just ignoring it now!!

I just want to report that this number has been calling for a week now at least once a day and sometimes twice. I have nver answered the phone and I don't plan to. Hopefully, they will stop calling soon? Is there a way to stop them calling us, apart from answering the phone.

08000927204 is a company called the money club. If you get calls from this number you have probably opted in byclicking a link on a web page, maybe during an online quiz. They are a pain in the as*.

The last writer may have confused this with another number.  08000927204 is a call-centre in Brighton called Telegen, as the entries on the last twelve pages show.  It is possible that they are now beginning to call "on behalf of" the Money Club. If that is so, it is worrying because it means that the Money Club, whose stupid calls have been reported in this forum before, are now employing Telegen to do the work.  If that happens there will be nuisance calls on a grand scale.  One can only urge everyone who has been called by Telegen to report it to OFCOM online.  For further information on what Telegen are doing, look up any of these numbers on this forum:

Rang me on their mobile, said they were AXA PPP ringing in reponse to my e-mail request for their cover, i never requested anything - they wanted my personal details which i refused to give.

This 0800 0927204 number has been calling my mobile since 16th April. I've reported the number to ofcom but i'm still receiving them. Sometimes i get phone calls at 8am and late at night, it's really annoying. I haven't answered the phone calls as i know it's someone just trying to sell me something but it's getting very frustrating.

I am about to "retire" from doing this research, so before I go, I'll just bring you up to date on the Telegen call-centre affair. They currently appear to have sixteen numbers from which they do their business. Here they are, with the names of the companies they claim to represent.

01273 344100 is their Head office in Brighton, though it seems that you won't get far with complaints to them.  For really good research, type in 08009121695, navigate to page 6 and read what Edmund has written. Finally, keep complaining online to OFCOM. I am sure that if they are contacted enough times they will do something to get the public off their backs!

yep, me too, call me pretty much once a day at random times. havent answered yet as i know its spam. think i will answer and just leave the line dead and not talk so they waste there fone bills hahaha

we keep getting 08000 927206 Virgin Media asking for our password or payment details - because that's obviously something you're supposed to give out over the phone!

I called Telegen on 01273341000 and the lady was very helpful and said she would take my number off their system.

I have had this company call me more than twice a day!!I don't want to answer the call because some companies charge you to receive calls, however I want them to take me off their database because they are annoying me!!!

These people have been driving me made they ring at least twice a day EVERY day!!  The only thing I can relate this is to is a service i signed up to on facebook, has any else done that recently???
