0800 108 579 is Yell.com, or Yellow pages calling to "check on personal details." Told them that they were beaking the law calling a TPS registered number and voice phishing.

Have had 3 Data Calls in last 10 minutes from this 'unknown' company. Do noy think my phone can even see Data!

they're from yell, they ask you for personal data saying they're gonna add your business to their listings for adverts for a trial period then ask you to reply to an email, so you are aparently signing a contract, so they call you again asking for payments and they're very persistent

yes its yell.com they called me as my business is registered on their free advertising site, they just called to ask if i was happy with their service etc, they were very helpful.

This number belongs to Yell.Com. They are a complete pain as they falsely advertise online you can have a FREE listing which is absolute RUBBISH. THERE ARE NO FREE LISTINGS FROM YELL. it is a cheap trick from them to get any small business to give out personal details which they use in THEIR ADVERTISING & believe me they wiill continue to pester you by email post & phone no matter how many times you tell them you are not interested.

Id like to see that site IF IT EXISTS

Thought it would be yell, I was paying for an advert with them a couple of years ago and when i didn't renew the contract they pestered me daily for about a month and a half even though I refused to answer the phone to them. They also left messages, phoned my house phone, emailed me. All to try and get me back on board. Two days ago I put a free advert on the site in a bid to get some extra work. I've been expecting a barrage of calls from Yell and sure enough today I've had 2 so far from this number! Guessed it was them so haven't answered :-)
They also try from different 0800 numbers, mobiles and withheld.
Oh and they don't take no for an answer!

yell.com web page sales just hang up they want £360 off you for there type of web page on yell.com and google places which you could set up for free yourself do not fall for this service just say NO, it is the best bet

My company advertised on there about 6 years ago, but I told them 4 years ago that the company doesn't exist any more, so I'm not quite sure what they think calling me would achieve.

I dont answer when i see their number come up & when it goes onto the answer machine they dont say anything wait a while then hang up. Wonder who is going to get fed up first me or them?

Yell.com are a f***ing nuisance. I put a "free" ad on their site and wish i never had. Got so many bloody calls from them saying for a small fee i could  loads of work, someone similar to me in my area got loads of work per month from them, and they could get me brilliant results for my website on on google. They wouldnt take no for an answer. In the end i told them i had gone out of business and they stopped ringing me. Took months though. Theyre still ringing my mrs about her business though, about 4 years after she refused to post a new advert. I even had someone ringing me swearing down the phone at me telling me he was going to ring me every f***ing ten minutes due to the fact that i got fed up of answering to them. i told him to crack on with it, i looked forward to his calls. He got bored way before i did!

Just to say had the same calls as per the previous messages. They never give up...............

You can have a free listing through yell.  I have one, you can do it all online though.

They called me today and when I asked who they where they replied "Google Maps Team".

I now know that they where not who they said they where but infact they where yell.com.

this bas****ds should be shot a bunch of vulture con man how they get away with it fook knows no wonder so many small and new businesses are going under seems there no help and advice on how to avoid and shoot these lot hhhaha :)
