Had this one twice now, first when I was out. Just called again and they say they're Book Club Associates www.bca.co.uk with some offer. I did used to be a member of this years ago (World Books etc) so just said no thanks and she hung up politely. But then 1471 revealed the number, which is new to this site but Google has a number of references to it being Telefocus UK www.telefocus.co.uk but also silent calls.

They keep ringing me and then suddenly hang up. Really beginning to bug me. Was a member of the book club. Has anyone got their Managers mobile number!!??

This number calls my house twice a day

Missed a call from this number yesterday, and again earlier today.  Just had them on the phone again, but the line was bad (they use my mobile number) and I couldn't make out who they were or anything -- so I hung up on them!!!

I was a member MANY years ago, but I'm sure I've changed mobile number since then.   So how do they have this number now?

I'm also registered with TPS for both home and mobile number, so they shouldn't be calling.   If I get a clear call from them I shall be taking necessary details and reporting them to TPS too !!!!

This number has been calling me now for the last week two or three times daily! Now I just cancel the call as whenever I do answer I just hear office noise in the background and no-one speaks. I have called the number back but just a recorded message saying they are Telefocus ltd, a marketing company based in bedfordshire and will call back another time.

Extremely annoying!!

called twice today nobody spoke was a book club member in the past but several years ago.did get a call where someone spoke a few weeks ago and explained i was not interested in their offer. i am also registered with tps

these pests(pest) have phoned twice today and silence.What are the regulators doing about it?

Had lots of missed calls from this number recently - Never leave a message - I am a worldbooks member so maybe that's it ...

Have had a missed called from 0800 258 5503 every day for the past week.  I dial the number back and get the Telefocus recorded message.  

I am also on TPS but just found this small print on the TPS website saying they cannot stop market research calls (see question 17: http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/faq/#seventeen)

So today I Googled Telefocus, found the website http://www.telefocus.co.uk.  Called the number listed there (01525 720000) and spoke with Louise who promises to get my number removed from their list asap.

This really angers me like you wouldn't believe.  What is the point of TPS if they can't stop the most annoying calls of all?

I have had 7 calls over the the last 7 days, on 2 occasions, twice in one day.
I have just forwarded full details to OFCOM

had these call me a few times ,soon as someone actualy spoke asking for me in name i told they had the wrong number, and since then  i  have recieved no more calls

Same problem here, this number is calling me and hanging up/no ones saying anything.  I am also a member of world books, but i've never been called by them before and there doesnt seem to be a point to these calls if there not even going to say anything!

they keep ringing me too , i am a member of world books thingy , but i dont owe them money or need to get a book or anything yet they are ringing me like 10 times a day , for the past 4 days , doing my head in

You can get your number barred for there use by calling 08002585613 I have had exactly the same problem for the past 5 days they have been calling me at least 5-6 times a day and then hanging up.  I have just spoken to someoone and they promise it will not happen again after today ...... will just have to wait and see

Used advice above to get number barred, but have already received another call.  Apparently that should be the last one.  Again, no idea how they have my mobile number as I am extremely careful about giving this out to companies.  Would be interested to know who has sold this on to BCA.

I have been getting calls from this number several times a day, including 3 times yesterday, (Sunday), each time there is just an open line, no one answering.

I've never been a member of 'World books' or anything like that but they keep calling, and I generally dont answer the phone til it goes to the answer machine now so i know whos calling. They normally ring and hang up but this time they called waited for the answering machine and then just sat there silent, then hung up! Whats the point?! They've called at least once a day and its really bugging me!

Yeah that figures, I'm a member of a book club. I don't get an answer either when they ring me so I don't know who these guys are for sure. They are probably selling something.

caller rang twice yesterday at 20.58 and 19.56 i didnt answer it.  i am a member of bca but have never been called before,  i am going to delete my mobile number from my account details and see what happens
