This is the generic number left by all Nationwide Building Society calls - It is a genuine number but it doesn't identify who called from within the company and for what reason. Just wait for them to callback or leave a message with a proper contact number.

Yeah, Nationwide. But although its a FREEPHONE number they don't take incoming calls!!

Thuis number consistently makes fax calls to our landline and cannot be faxed back!

I had a missed call from 0800281801. It was Nationwide, who left a message on my answering service, with a name and contact number to ring. It was a genuine call, and the matter in question was resolved correctly when I rang back. So, from my point of view this wasn't a 'problem' number.

Who can we report these idiots to?
They are hounding my home phone AND my mobile number - whether I'm at home, out, driving... - I don't even have an account with them!
Please, if anyone knows which body to complain to can you let us know?

its nationwide payment services, its a callback service for standing orders, if they are calling you then someone must have called them first and requested a callback and given them your number.

I was called four times within 15 minutes by this number today. Each time when I picked up the phone it was silent apart from the occasional beep. I don't have an account, or any other contact, with the Nationwide.

Missed call - phoned back and I got a recorded message telling me that I had been called by Nationwide Building Society - they were sorry they were unable to speak to me when they called but they would call again at a later date.

Answered from this number twice, and they have hung up twice. Missed 4 calls since and they don't leave a message. Useless.
