Silent calls and lack of voicemail messages left by proponents of this number. Company have been told in no uncertain terms (politely) that calls can not and will not be dealt with either during my office hours (0800 - 1800) nor while driving to get to or from the office. Safe to assume at least the 45 minutes before and after the hours given... But most calls are during the times that I am driving, the rest while working. They do not understand that it is against the law to hold a phone conversation while driving!!!!

I get about 3 silent calls a day from this number! What exactly are these people trying to acheive? The only thing they will acheive is me changing my mobile number! strange people, If they are debt collectors and wanna talk to me then why don't they just speak and we could come to an arrangement!! You'd think they would have more maturity than to leave silent calls! Doe anyone know if I can take these people to court for harrasment??

Another bunch of cowboys who regularly break the "Data Protection Act" by not confirming to whom they are speaking to first, before they start divulging personal details and information.
No matter how many people you have spoken to before in their company, no matter what you say about circumstances, they just do not listen. The callers always seem to be on some kind of "Power Trip".
High time the "Financial Services Authority did something about this lot, but I sometimes wonder who they are really there for.
(I use to be in Banking for a little while, and that's how I know how many rules & codes this lot are breaking).

From 09:00hrs to 09:18hrs BST, this morning, 19/06/2008, I have had 36 dropped calls from this number on my mobile and 18 dropped calls on my home number. Both numbers are ex directory and only a handful of friends know these numbers are mine.

I do not owe any one any money with the exception of my mortgage which is up to date.

I am now informing BT of Active Kapital making harassing phone calls.

I too have had in the region of 40+ dropped calls in ONE DAY.  I don't know this firm nor do I owe anyone any money.  My mobile number is ex-d and so wonder why the heck I am getting calls.  I picked up the 41st call and asked who they were but they hung up as they would not confirm their identity.

If a child of that age has been distressed by the company then I would suggest going to the police.

many dead calls to my number. the best way forward is to withhold your number call them back and see how they like it.
only done it 30 times today. does tie their staff up answering automated dead calls.

Are they debt agents employed by other companies or are they chasing up their own loans ? I would have thought that the proper course of action for them is to put their claim allegations before a Court, not harass people with silent/anonymous calls. If they do take someone to Court, that person would presumably then have the opportunity to lodge a counter claim based on the stress & harassment that they have suffered as a result of being bombarded with these silent calls.

Surely the amount of money they waste calling people 60 times a day would be enough reason forthem to give up?

These people are really not normal. They are trying to collect personal data from my bank account.... And on my question why I should give my personal information the answer were: " Don't waste my time Mr ... We will keep calling you at any time ".
The only think I would like to say to those people is:
Hey, with who do you think you have a deal with ?! If the telephone companies cannot locate you, why do you think that a certain "group of Russian people" can't find you, a ...?!

This company call me on average three to four times daily, they have been told of circumstances but seem to forget to tell the rest in the company.  If they would just listen to what people are telling them then they would get on a lot better.  Silent calls achieve nothing and when you try to call it back its unobtainable Whats that all about?
