I have been a customer of Serif (on and off) for well over fifteen years and I get regular e-mail updates on their products as well as special offers on software and hardware. However, having made a hardware purchase from them late last year, I too have had persistent sales calls for their mainstream software products. There was a lull after I had a lengthy conversation with a sales person and eventually convinced him that despite all the offers and deals, following an aside with the probably non-existent supervisor, I was not in a position to benefit from their latest offering. The calls have started again this week, probably due to another offer or recent release of software.
It's a shame when a company that you trust with products and, as mentioned elsewhere, customer service that you value, resorts (or feels the need to resort) to such tactics.
